Kellan & Edi Down Under! Kellan Talks Lindsay Lohan & Other Silliness

While in town for Twilight-themed proms in Australia, Kellan tells LiveNews that he's not dating Lindsay Lohan:

Twilight star Kellan Lutz dismissed rumours he is dating troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan after jetting into Sydney to meet delighted fans and promote the film's DVD release.

Lutz, who plays vampire Emmett Cullen in the cult teenage film, is the latest to be linked to Lohan following her break-up with girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

But Lutz took the time to set the record straight.

"Someone just told me this, it's funny," he told AAP.

"It's crazy to read stuff about yourself and you're like where do people get this stuff from.

"I've met Lindsay once - like a year ago at just like an event and it was like, hey, hey, that's it.

"It's so weird."

Lutz is in the country with co-star Edi Gathegi to promote the film, which has already raked in about half a billion dollars in movie and DVD sales.

Up to a thousand fans, many screaming, gathered to meet them in Sydney's CBD.

Lutz and Gathegi obliged, spending time talking and signing copies.

Lutz, 24, said he had a lot of time for the fans.

"They're so sweet and they're so loving with us," Lutz said.

"It's always great to talk to them and see how their experience is watching movies."

Lutz has been acting for many years and appeared in the recent remake of the TV show Beverly Hills 90210.

But it's his part in the vampire love story Twilight that has sent his profile soaring.

Lutz, who has also been romantically linked to co-star Ashley Green, described the film as a "golden ticket" but said he was amazed about some of the things that were said about him.

"I've got a lot of friends where if we go out ... people will be like Kellan's dating her now. Kellan has three girlfriends now," he said.

"Soon I'll be married to Britney Spears or something like that."

Over the weekend, Lutz will make appearances at Twilight-themed proms in Sydney and Melbourne.
