Spring is on its way!!

Yea I truelly think it is judging by the cute spring-y stuffs that are popping up all over the grid. First up is yet another group gift from Happy Finds. Care to Take a Dip?

I love the Lucky Dips that come out for special occasions!  Skyler John from Mystic Sky has pulled hers out of the attic for a special Lucky Cupcake for Valentines Day.  There are some wonderful goodies in it and the odds of winning are very high as there are only 3 booby prizes in the cupcake.  You can dip every three minutes and you could win the gorgeous Annabell Gown, a matching Hibiscus Hair Flower or a Hibiscus Necklace.  This gown has features upon features: two cloaks (pink and green) that open and close, 2 skirt versions and 2 Aster Hair Flowers (Pink and Yellow).  If you don't want to hang around and dip for the gown you can pick it up at 50 % off as all White, Pink and Red items are marked down until Tuesday, 2/15.

Booty Call!

We have a huge variety of people in the group, Lucky Chair Stalkers, so I see lots of Lucky Chairs and Midnight Manias.  Julya Lykin, one of our lovers of the sexy look, hollered about the Midnight Manias at Crave.  Crave is the place that goes absolutely nuts at the holidays with their lucky chair full of sex candy holiday outfits.  I had not been there for ages so I had to go peek and I was like "OOO" at the latex.  Not what I would wear to shop FLF or a DU event but there are certain times when latex has it's special uses.

I just need to yack for a quick minute before I get to photos (which you are probably looking at anyways).  I hope to blog this (when I can actually find time to hunt) but there is a sweet little hunt called The Starry Night Hunt at the Lucid sim.  It is only for one week and started on Friday so you might want to go there before you forget.  Lots of the free Grand Opening gifts are also still available.  Several independent creators have made special items for the hunt that are either 0 or 1 Linden.  This sexy shape below is one of the hunt items and is at (census) for only 1 L.

London Calling

Cupcakes is beginning to open its remodeled stores and have also introduced a new skin line.  London comes with 2.0 layer eyebrows in a variety of styles and cleavage options.  To celebrate they have put up a Midnight Mania with one of the London skins in a sienna tone.  This skin would be 1000 L to buy right now but for about a week you can get this one for free.  I know that it has already locked for today but it will reopen tomorrow and I'm pretty sure it requires 350 slaps to lock.  That will fill up fast so get there early if you can.  Because we are foremost a respectable blog I did not show a full body shot here but there is one in my flickr if you care to check out more of the skin.  The details are great.  Thanks Rosemary and Mimi!  You did it again!

Eden Loves Eve

I found out about this cute store, Kat, thru the group Lucky Chair Stalkers and I instantly knew I must have the dress, Eve.  This dress can be yours with only 160 slaps and when I looked last there were still a few spots left today.  It is lusciously sexy and easy to accessorize.  I went full-steam ahead on the accessories, disregarding the "one great accessory" rule I usually follow.   The dress pairs perfectly with the Lola Boots in exotic textures that you can win in the lucky chair at Baby Monkey in the main room (the 10 L sale on discontinued Ultimates is still going on in the other lucky chair room for some real bargains).  While you are at Baby Monkey, make sure you pick up the four sets of free prim nails.  They are scripted for color change and the gloves are tint-able to match your skin.  Thanks to Jelly Supply, also from Lucky Chair Stalkers, for turning me onto these great sunglasses from arrya that you can pick up for free as an  Eels opening gift.  Right next to it are also a free stump chair and some great bangles for both men and women.

I am a huge fan of Rarurick Ragu of WhoNose.  Her prim work is perfection and she always adds an element of cleverness to her designs.  Today she released a new cheapie and it was just what I needed.  Where I live I don't think I've seen the sun in weeks and this gold dress brings some cheer to the dreary days.

The Hunger Design Goodies

ScarlettFabienne Scarpulla dropped some goodies on me that you might enjoy.  There are 3 outfits there that you can get for free or 1 L.  The dollarbie outfit, which I am not showing, is a very baggy pair of pants and bikini top ala skater style.  It comes with a skateboard, too!  You also might want to check out Violet Voltaire as she is coming back to make more stuff in SL (YAY!).  In the meantime she has a few designs that she is discontinuing that you can pick up at steeply discounted prices.  Her jewelry is simply fun!

Hello! I have come out of my hermit hole (or according to the below picture, a fabulous steampunk airship) just long enough to tell you about one of my absolutely favorite stores in SL, Wishbox. The textures in every piece Wisp Jinn makes are just stunning with gorgy craftsmanship. Lucky for Free*Stylers, you can slap the Midnight Mania board for today only and get this adorable pink pirate outfit. Rumor has it from the shop owner that the next Midnight Mania prize will be equally as delish, so be sure to haunt Wishbox like I do.

There's also a hunt prize that you can pick up in store within a little an apple. The prize is this wicked little pixie outfit called "Macabre Tink" that comes with blood overlay, an adorable dress, wings, and flats. Hint...it's in the same room as the Midnight Mania board! I'm not sure how long the hunt prize is available, so don't delay, especially with Halloween not so far from now.

Alas, I was going to show a few pieces from her collection as I think I almost own one of everything, but my pictures were made of fail. In fact, I have a certain photographer to thank for the pretty pictures above.

Pretty Church Fuses Melons and Cupcakes

Definitely a crazy name for a post but how else do I recognize all the great finds I have to show you?  Aemilia Case, of Philotic Energy fame, has opened a new sim and has started a new brand called Fusemelon, selling a wide range of products including hair, clothing, accessories and builds.  The PE store has moved there but with reduced stock. There are great wearable color demos for both men and women in the hair section.  I'm wearing the women's demo, Taken All.  It's so fab!  There is also a gift bag in the shop (you can't miss it - it's everywhere).  Walk around the sim and find the exclusive freebies from Sugar Mill and there were some cheapies at Philotic Energy that were new to me. Omaire Abattoir from O-Magine Homeworks and Ravyn Hynes from Mudhoney did a fantastic job on the builds.

There are some great sales going on now that I have really enjoyed.  Church of Luxe has almost everything on sale for 50 L right now and fatpacks are a steal.  Pretties by JB is rebranding to ala mood Boutique and all shoes are currently 25 L with supercheap fatpacks.  Cupcakes now has 15 gift bags out at 250 L each which includes an exclusive skin in all tones, an outfit and eyes.  You don't need to be a group member to purchase these and it's a great way to try out their skins for very little cost.  The collar I'm wearing is part of an amazing Roman collar/cuff set currently in the Midnight Mania board at Inca Temple.  The board only needs 100 slaps to get the item and when I checked a little while ago it was about halfway there.  It has intricate engraving and is fully scripted.

Frop!

I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning and stumbling round the grid making epic typos in between work breaks. My bestie is one of those driven types, if she does a hunt, she has to do it all at once and all the way to the end. Needless to say, we make terrible hunting partners as I get very easily distracted by shiny pretty things (read spending money at every store on the hunt stop) and quite often get yelled at: "You can COME BACK HERE LATER" Ahem.



So while I fussed with PS this weekend off she went to do the key hunt, and came back raving about a store called Frop. While I didn't spy her wearing the hunt gift (shown above), I did see her in an awesome pair of shorts.



I was stoked when I found out they were a midnight mania prize. Shown here with the 2 super comfy looking tops that come with them. I also bought a fat pack of shirts with the following written across the boobs: Bitches Are People Too I was told I needed those shirts, can't think why though :P

Why So Serious? Read On.

So far this week, I have witnessed the most ridonculous amounts of drama, the majority being Plurk related. Meh. I had my initial enamor, then got totes over it. Also the terribly flea ridden, dead horse of the freebie debate has been flogged so fucking mercilessly it defies comprehension. What has riled me the most, is the hypocrisy of the most vocal opponents of freebies. I cannot stand bullshit of any kind, but this debate srsly gets under my collar, especially when those so "opposed" to freebies then try to use this blog to gain exposure for their store. This blog, and all it's writers have wholeheartedly supported content creators, showing full priced items we have paid for, alongside the dollarbies/freebies they may have to offer. I myself spend thousands each week in stores I love and admire. I have personally "discovered" stores because of their freebies, or because they contacted me. I can think offhand of at least 10 that had not been blogged before they got posted here. Is that the point? No, not really, but to then see these designers slating freebies, when I and my colleagues have spent untold hours taking shots, processing said shots and making sure everything looked as good as possible, at these designer's behest, well it really makes me sad. I'm not sure what the happy medium is. There have been many suggestions thrown into the ether this week. Whatever the outcome, our commitment to content creation remains the same. We want to show you stores you may not have heard of, and if that happens because of a freebie, or lucky chair, is that so bad? If you buy their entire store because you love their designs so much, but saw their store here first, will you spontaneously combust? I think not. Bear in mind, whatever you may spend, we spend probably triple that amount. Why? Because the linden circle must be complete. Quid Pro Quo.





Little Britain has these outfits out now as we speak. One is the weekly freebie, the other is in the MM. Both have male versions, so guys get on it :P

In closing, I think I speak for all the girls, and guys on the blog when I say we are sick of being portrayed as the problem causers. Whatever life you operate in, there will always be someone who has an attitude problem. We show items designers most often ask us to show. We are not snobs, if you send us your item we will review it, unlike some unnamed bloggers I can think of. We want to get stores seen and appreciated, that is the bottom line, bad for the SL economy? Nope. Ash Out.

Toast!!

Sunday morning, tis cold, raining and bleh. Mini Ash is running round naked (as usual) and is alternating between complaining about being cold and being hot. Just like a chick :p



I'm so pleased to show you some more newness from Bubblefish. You'll find the gorgeous green "Buckled" outfit in the midnight mania, get to slapping. It's a versatile outfit, I paired it with dollarbie jeans from Torridwear for a different look. Isn't this coat from Dany amazing? Also another versatile piece, it's already become a staple for me.



Toast!!! Get this supercute outfit from the Toast subscribo. I love the arm warmers, and you get 2 different skirts, both adorable. Check out my hair!!! It's the latest dollarbie from KOSH, and so fecking cute!



Time to smex it up a bit with this latex dress from the Lunas Boutique group. I paired it again with the leather coat, and some fabulous (but not free) boots from EVA.

Mhm, it's 5am, and I'm awake.......WTF? Late nights talking to my friends in the States are totally buggering up my time clock. Wouldn't change it for a second, although I would like to sleep longer :P



First up is an outfit that isn't free, but all the proceeds go to RFL. This super cute offering from Lemania is my kinda gorgeous. Look stunning for a good cause, can't get better than that!! Have you noticed my rather fetching monocle? For that we have Azia Lunasea to thank. She let me know that it was sitting in Tekeli-Li's mainstore, waiting to jump in my inv for a linden! Yup a linden. Everything about the monocle is customisable, you pick your metal, gems, lens colour and glow. It's a limited edition type dealio, once it's gone, it's gone forever so grab yours now.





Seeing as the weather is getting warmer for you guys, I thought it was time to show off some swimwear! You'll find these beauties in the lucky chair at Swim. Shown here with the super extravagant hair from the Clawtooth By Clawtooth group, as blogged by the yummy Eden.

Midnight Mania And A Little Something Called Harry

Midnight Mania is relatively new in SL but is proving to be be terribly popular among store owners and shoppers alike. I have found so many new stores because of their MM board (read spent 40,000L in the last week alone oy)



The amazing corset piercing pictured came from a tip in our chatbox from a mysterious anon, as did the skin. Both are breathtaking, and I was so stoked with my new piercing, I kidnapped a wicked pair of boots while I was at Brimstone Creations that went perfectly with an outfit I was about to photo (more on that in a bit). The skin, oh wow, I love the eyeshadow. Doux Petite Dahl is a new to me store, and they have some breathtaking skins at stupidly affordable prices as well as some yummy clothes. I didn't have time to look round properly but I will be back!! (Sounded kinda ominous huh:P)



This landed in my inv a couple of days ago, and resulted in much squeeing in Dare monroes IM box. Apparently the outfit actually begun it's SL as just a skirt, and then as is often the case morphed into something else entirely! As with all outfits from Dare Designs, you get 657988780o options, pieces and ways to wear it. The boots are the ones I mentioned from Brimstone Creations, not free, but they were so perfect I had to have them. Check out my skin dammit! Meet Harry, the gorgeously freckled beautifully scarred new skin from Imagen. Only available at the Harold location, and totes not free. I hadn't been there in ages, and was actually looking for an outfit I saw on Welma's blog, but ended up with this instead. Pretty smexy no? The sunnies are part of an outfit from Lunas Boutique, not free, but there was a sale on last I heard. Don't quote me, I'm running so behind on everything, if I died tomorrow, I probably wouldn'nt turn up to my funeral till next year XD. Ash Out.
