Fashion: Lace is IN

Not me, but the fabric called Lace. I am guessing pointy shoulders are going on a vacation, especially military inspired ornaments like Vice Ganda is wearing. Now it's all about lace, finally!



This I am wearing from New York something I found in SM Department Store. I pulled the tag, and paid it in the counter while I already wore the item to a dinner somewhere. The grey shirt looks oversized on the waist, the cut will remind you of 1980's aerobics - cool, and it had see-through lace on the sides. Since the lace is black, it gives the illusion of a smaller waist.

Shirt costs Php 600, the sequined bib necklace I am wearing is from Landmark, Php 180. Cheap fashion thrills. I had fun wearing it :)

Fashion: Tiffany Keys Scarf

I feel so special when I receive gifts from Tiffany & Co. Actually, this is my first haha. I still have to wait for more surprises, I guess?



My sister and Aussie Mommy Blogger, Joni sent me this. Recently, we got our mom a Tiffany Keys bracelet. Now I have the Tiffany Keys scarf. I think she saw how I made an ordinary scarf into a headband.

I wore it with my new hair length and an essential piece in my closet - the grey dress. (I know I am getting fat! T_T)

Thank you sister! I think you've just sparked in me a new collection.

Fashion: Florals on a Rainy Day

They say, if you are wearing floral clothes, don't go out in the rain or you will multiply x.x



I say, floral makes me look fat! I am tempted to shrink this photo horizontally *lol*

I thought prints will bring some brightness to the gloomy weather. I've been itching to get floral prints, and finally I found a piece to satisfy my fashion craving.

Although prints really make me look fat. Choosing a black printed fabric should lessen the widening effect.



And then new strappy shoes in black once more!

Ash and Lace

Yesterday was baby ashton and mine's day out. And I pledged to myself that even with child, I would strive to look good and neat. Here I am wearing a dress from H.A.B (Havin' A Baby) that I paired with my signature wrestler belt :)


9 Days after giving birth to Ashton

My makeup kit is still missing and would you believe I haven't replenished it? I am just living with my mineral powder. I just thank my hormones which are now taming down meaning my skin is getting better.

Now I wonder when and how can I walk in heels again ^^ Until the next outfit!

11 Weeks at the World Bazaar

Luckily, expecting moms can always squeeze in a dash of style even with a growing tummy :) Wearing a dress from Target's Maternity line, it fits very well and is super comfy with its cottony fabric.

The dress is sleeveless and to prevent it from looking like sleepwear worn outside, I put on a draping cardigan.

Shiny and metallic are in, with the return of sequined dresses and skirts. For a more subtle and versatile look, be on the look out for semi-silky fabrics. I like fabrics with cottony feel but with a silky look. These fall perfectly on your body giving you a flattering ensemble while leaving you comfortable :)

Floral on Top

Been watching floral layered skirts sashaying their beauty on the streets. I especially like tiered ones that are available in Mango and Topshop. But how about trying floral on top rather than bottom?


This floral top is vintage and belonged to my sister Joni. During the 90's, she and my mom shopped for her college clothes and this was one of them.

It has the same "fresh" simple effect which is more adorable in loose fabrics rather than fitting ones. You can do black + floral if you don't want to look that jolly. Just can't get enough of black.

Shut it Down! Gigantic Ribbon

Looks too familiar? I wish RZ would be proud. I am missing the lion hair.

Turned my trusty fabric belt into a gigantic ribbon. Too easy! No need for instructions, you can do it too!

Maldita in Sunnies

Thin, thin, thin - at last!

Maldita embellished dress. Finally got big deep black sunnies. Checked out both Mango and People are People and looks like People and People won this round. Look for shade # 3 at the Greenbelt 5 branch. Repaired my Hush Puppies Sonnet, thank you Mr. Quickie :)

Looklet - Monochromatic + Pink

Dark and cute

Your closet dreams finally can come true with Looklet. This is what I would wear today given that body and designer pieces. I chose the black draping blouse with a skinny metallic wet-looking pants. Pointy high heels for additional height and a dramatic headband from Evita Peroni. Love the length of the necklace and the giant cocktail ring from H&M.


Another look for the partyphile, sequins must be in your closet by now.

At Barbie's Fashion Show

The background is so pink it almost makes me happy! This is just the third time I am wearing the high-waisted skirt because I found it difficult to pair. Note to self: white is widening.

Yet, it's already in my closet so might as well have fun with it. Paired it with a yellow blouse with puffed sleeves and golden ballerina flats.

Pastel colors with white seem to work quiet well...

Easy and Shiny - New Look for your Old Dress

Inspired by my current obsession, The Hills and The City - where most characters wear easy short dresses paired with high heels. I reckon though how much "shorter" girls wear their dresses in L.A. but still, they look classy and kempt. It all boils down to the quality of fabric maybe?



Reduce the length of your dress without cutting by using a garter belt with a nice buckle. Instead of simply tying it around your waist, gather up your dress to the waist a little and tuck it out from the belt. It will also give you a new silhouette but don't go overboard in making your dress shorter. This trick would make you look taller and slender (fingers crossed :)

Wearing DIY Folded Shorts

Rugged outfit for a day at Texas Roadhouse Grill in El Pueblo. Cut another old pair of jeans into a nice pair of shorts. Folded and sewn the tattered edges in front, super easy! All you need is a pair of scissors, needle and thread. Hello recessionista ~

Shopping is like oxygen, and when you haven't had it for a long time - it feels so good to just breathe it in and have as much as you can. That's how starved for shopping I am and maybe, most of the busy ladies as well.



One of the best places to enjoy shopping like a royalty is at Rustan's. Eversince it has been known for upscale brands and luxurious shopping experience. Unlike other department stores, it is very obvious how fewer shoppers come and go at Rustan's. The staff look like they work in a hotel and it is very easy to get help.

The fitting rooms at Rustan's is spacious enough for a photo shoot, perfect lighting, and a neat couch to plop on when you get tired of fashion decisions :) As the items do not come cheap, you need all the brain power to imagine your closet, pick up items that you can mix and match, and make sure that they are the right size.


There's a small cafeteria on the 3rd floor near the toys section

Yza, the store attendant was very helpful in getting all the colors I want, in different sizes. I was so comfortable shopping that it was fairly easy to decide which clothes to get. In paying, you don't even have to stand up waiting as there are plenty of nice couches to sit on and they'll just hand your purchase to you. Lovely!
