Fae sent me some bangles, way back in '07, when she had a tiny wee store, and it's been incredible to watch her, and her designs go from strength to strength.



There are sales, there there are sales, and this is one you'll kick yourself if you miss.

For a morbid soul like me, Halloween is a god send. It answers so many questions in one awesome little word. "Why are you covered in blood Ash?" "Halloween" "Why are you impaled on an AFK spear Ash?" "Halloween" "How come your eyeball just fell out Ash?" "Duh cos it's hawt :P"



Are you a member of the Cynful subscribo? You should be, cos apart from regular gifts that are the smex, you get to be first to hear about new releases and such. Some of you may have this already, but it was re-sent this morning, and seeing as my inv has been playing up, I was stoked to have this outfit again. They also had a yummy Halloween dollarbie out last time I went, it may still be there if you get a move on.



Sugarcube has opened a store in LeLook and this dress is free for a limited time. You get every layer combo which I love, especially cos I'm usually all tattooed up. The amazing photo sets I used aren't free, but if you have some spare cash to splash, these and others at Lost Angel Poses would be my pick. Shown here is "Last Call" and "Loved You". Who loves Cupcakes? Me!

I've seriously sprained my ankle in RL or I would have shown you this earlier today with lots more pictures. Cupcakes is having now the sale to end all sales. Where to start? All summer clothing has been marked down to 100 L or less until July 4th. I'm talking lots of clothes, but check this out: lots of those clothes are 1 L!!! The catch is you have to find them. I am showing you two here but there are lots more! Also until the 4th is a special on skins. For every single skin (1000L), you will get a 1000 L gift card. For every fat pack of skin you purchase, you can chose a second skin pack for free!

But wait, there's more. At the front of the store there are 12 "gift bags". First, they aren't free. They are 250 L each but they are loaded with a skin in all tones, a shape, an outfit and eyes. If you belong to the Cupcake Update Group, which is now only 100 L to join, you will find out that quite often they are offering a 500 L gift card when you purchase on of these sets. The gift bags are only available until the 4th as well. The 500 L gift card offer is not all the time so the best way to find out when is to be in the group. I have purchased several because they are such an exceptional value.
Cupcakes is such wonderful group. Rosemary Galbraith and Mimi Coral are exceptional at both skin and clothing design (there is also a group gift in the archives now too). And if you are lucky, you might walk in like I did and see Mimi in a gorilla suit humping Rosemary's leg! What a treat! Speaking of legs, time for mine to elevate.

As I'm sure you're all aware, not only can you buy amazing hair at Hair Fair, but most of the designers have yummy dollarbies out for you. Stumbling across the Posh booth was like heaven. Not only is the hair beyootiful, they have 3 gift bags out for you. The dress shown here is in one of said bags. Shown with a Fair exclusive hair from Fuel...yup Cleggy's bak!



The top is a group gift from Modd.G, there is a joining fee, but it's well worth it. The shorts are part of another gift bag from Posh, that was also stuffed full of hair *swoon* The hair shown here is also from Fuel, but didn't make it out in time for the fair, so you can find it at her main store, for only 200L per colour pack. Great Finds from Great Designers

It's definitely not been a quiet week or two here in SL.  So many designers continue to offer us incredible items for little to no cost.  I cannot thank them enough for sharing with us and giving us a chance to know their work.  Let me show you a few of my favorite finds: 

First up is a gorgeous dress from the Lucky Chair at Ivalde.  Designer Nefaria Abel is one of the most generous in SL; frequently updating her Lucky Chairs, having sales and hunts with original designs.  I've been a member of her group for the longest time and have a folder in my inventory as proof.   She has moved her Lucky Chair to the upper level of the new store.  The chair has a short 10 minute wait and usually one of us from "Lucky Chair Stalkers" is there calling letters so it moves quite quickly.  I must thank Beanie Canning from the group "Give It Away" for sharing the info on this adorable dollarbie hair from Liriope.

Sunday Morning

I hate Sunday mornings, although they're still part of the weekend, they spell the end of said weekend. This week has been amazing though, us bloggers have been spoilt rotten from Blogger's Appreciation Week. I have spent most of my SL time in a state of constant squee, with short Photoshop breaks :P



Modd.G has a new group gift just for YOU. It's a pay to join group now, but Moddish is VERY VERY generous, so it's worth your L's. The grey and red dress is the gift, the wicked shirt dress is one of the new releases. It so perfectly fits in with the look I've been rocking lately, I lurve it. I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning and stumbling round the grid making epic typos in between work breaks. My bestie is one of those driven types, if she does a hunt, she has to do it all at once and all the way to the end. Needless to say, we make terrible hunting partners as I get very easily distracted by shiny pretty things (read spending money at every store on the hunt stop) and quite often get yelled at: "You can COME BACK HERE LATER" Ahem.



So while I fussed with PS this weekend off she went to do the key hunt, and came back raving about a store called Frop. While I didn't spy her wearing the hunt gift (shown above), I did see her in an awesome pair of shorts.



I was stoked when I found out they were a midnight mania prize. Shown here with the 2 super comfy looking tops that come with them. I also bought a fat pack of shirts with the following written across the boobs: Bitches Are People Too I was told I needed those shirts, can't think why though :P



And lastly these retro jammies can be won from the Frop lucky chair, both myself and bestie won those while we were standing around gabbing. The chair seems to change really quickly too, so bring some friends. And now, back to work for me. Ash Out.

Why So Serious? Read On.

So far this week, I have witnessed the most ridonculous amounts of drama, the majority being Plurk related. Meh. I had my initial enamor, then got totes over it. Also the terribly flea ridden, dead horse of the freebie debate has been flogged so fucking mercilessly it defies comprehension. What has riled me the most, is the hypocrisy of the most vocal opponents of freebies. I cannot stand bullshit of any kind, but this debate srsly gets under my collar, especially when those so "opposed" to freebies then try to use this blog to gain exposure for their store. This blog, and all it's writers have wholeheartedly supported content creators, showing full priced items we have paid for, alongside the dollarbies/freebies they may have to offer. I myself spend thousands each week in stores I love and admire. I have personally "discovered" stores because of their freebies, or because they contacted me. I can think offhand of at least 10 that had not been blogged before they got posted here. Is that the point? No, not really, but to then see these designers slating freebies, when I and my colleagues have spent untold hours taking shots, processing said shots and making sure everything looked as good as possible, at these designer's behest, well it really makes me sad. I'm not sure what the happy medium is. There have been many suggestions thrown into the ether this week. Whatever the outcome, our commitment to content creation remains the same. We want to show you stores you may not have heard of, and if that happens because of a freebie, or lucky chair, is that so bad? If you buy their entire store because you love their designs so much, but saw their store here first, will you spontaneously combust? I think not. Bear in mind, whatever you may spend, we spend probably triple that amount. Why? Because the linden circle must be complete. Quid Pro Quo.





Little Britain has these outfits out now as we speak. One is the weekly freebie, the other is in the MM. Both have male versions, so guys get on it :P

In closing, I think I speak for all the girls, and guys on the blog when I say we are sick of being portrayed as the problem causers. Whatever life you operate in, there will always be someone who has an attitude problem. We show items designers most often ask us to show. We are not snobs, if you send us your item we will review it, unlike some unnamed bloggers I can think of. We want to get stores seen and appreciated, that is the bottom line, bad for the SL economy? WALPURGISNACHT!!!

When Dare dropped a folder on me labeled "Walporgis", I was like dood, how the hell do you pronounce it?!! Of course Sasy cracked up, "You don't blog in voice silly!" Point taken but still, I like to know shit :P



The upshot is this: Dare Designs is having a hunt for 48 hours. The prizes are amazing, ranging from clothes, to jewelry, to the most incredible monobike I have ever seen.



I'll copy some of the card to you : WALPURGISNACHT!!! (otherwise known as Beltane for us Pagans...)

It is traditional to celebrate the coming of spring and the renewal of life with fires... bonfires and passion's flames, actually... and to honor this tradition I've laid out a Hunt for the two nights of Walpurgisnacht (48 hours, actually).

There are twelve balefire prizes to find, roughly half hidden in the store(s), the other half spread throughout the sim. Since Walpurgisnacht is Halloween in spring, there's a trick to finding these treats - you'll need to look high and low, watch for secret doors and passages, and check all the spooky corners. The prizes are numbered, though - so you'll know when you've found all 12.

The hunt begins midnight tonight and will end midnight, May 1st. (I may extend it if enough Hunters need the time)

Just so you know what you're looking for - the first balefire prize object is VERY easy to find.

One thing I love about SL is being able to dress my avatars to reflect my mood. Some of these pics were taken last night, some this morning, see if you can guess what goes where :P



This first dress is from Black Arts @ the Dominion. Isn't it just to die for. I'm really not sure how long it will be free for, I found the note card buried in my inv when I was cleaning it out last night.



This next dress comes to you courtesy of Isadora Vayandar who sent out a HUGE note to the Lucky Chair Stalkers group. You'll find the lushness at Amariah, a new to me store. I adore the textures on this dress and so will you!



Here's an offering from Gothica, an older freebie, but a goody. There is a new freebie there also, but after searching my inv for ages looking for the top, I realised there was none :P The "top" consists of pasties only and a neckpiece, you can see a pic of it over hurr thanks to Feo.



And finally, this weeks freebie from Little Britain. Mad bitch? Yea sounds fitting. The deliciously beaten skin is from DJunk, another new to me store and another find of Isadora's. So after much deliberation, and a million sleepless nights soul searching, I have come to a huge, life changing decision. I am packing up my toys and going home to London. This will happen very quickly, once I get Mini Ash's passport (which prob takes the longest, grrr Australia) we're gonski. I love my adopted country, and the move won't be a permanent one, but Riley needs extended family, and quite frankly, I need a break. I've had one "day off" in 4 years, my best friend has moved across the country after living down the road for the last 13 years and the support system I did have is now almost non existent. Honey (my best friend) always said "Happy mummy, happy baby" meaning I should be looking after myself, making sure I'm 100%, so I can be 100% for my daughter. I haven't been doing that, I've been trying to convince myself I'm super human and can do it all. It's a relief to admit I'm not and I can't.



First up is this fun, and oh so cute lucky chair outfit from Luxurious World. White and red together just screams spring to me, all bright and fresh. The capris do have prim cuffs, but I was having a hell of a time trying to edit them to look right with my crap graphics. I failed!



For a complete fashion "about face" this weeks dollarbie from KOSH. The "Toluca" set in Mould is made of win, and guess what? Moar win for you in the form of the "Brittle" set, for BOYS! That outfit is the total smex, and includes jeans, belt and a shirt.



Hop next door to Concrete Flowers to scoop up this fun dress, one of 3 dollarbies this week. One of the others, the "Flying Tofu Sausage" had me in fits of laughter. You wear it, and it poses you on a sausage as if it where a hammock, fucking inspired! The "Madonna" boots shown here are this weeks freebie from Vixens @ the Dominion. Tuli sent out a truly stunning skin to her group today, although it came with a sobering message. Named "Faith" as it's something we could all use, and can never have too much of. My thoughts are with Tuli and her family, lets all send her some good vibes and positive energy :) The skin has beautiful painted lashes, luscious lips and comes in three tones, so y'all are catered for :P



A new store is something I always get excited about. Kayla Radikal sent me a card letting me know about a lucky chair at Grim Kitteh. While I wasn't lucky enough to win the skirt, I did this super cute outfit for joining the subscribo. Have you all had a fabulous Easter so far? I've had an absolute ball catching up with people I usually only get to see fleetingly due to timezones.



I have some beautiful things to show you. First is this subscribo gift from Trap. The "Koi" tattoo is designed to go with the infamous skins of the same name, I own the Rose, but I thought I'd show off the art work on a plain skin, no other tatts. You can see the progress on Selos's blog, as well as a really gorgeous full sized shot.



The next outfits are an Easter gift from LeLutka. You get the pants, several belt versions and 4 colours of the shirt. And ssshhh, look closely. There's a sneak peek of an upcoming release from Dare Designs. The shoes are called "Mistress' and they are the awesome. Stay tuned for a release date.

The group received a massive box of goodies this morn, but just so you know, if you're joining now, there will be a 500L fee. So I've been crazy busy getting ready for Easter Sunday, eggs to be hidden from prying eyes/hands, before I can hop round pretending to be the Easter bunny and well hide them all again!! Also I've been having a crazy creative streak, and when that happens, I can't think of or do anything else. You can see some of the stuff I've been working on here, alot of it's nude content though, so if boobs offend don't look!



First up, this lovely, warm and cozy dress from the Lunas Boutique group. It's starting to get colder over here, and I find I'm wanting to dress my av in warmer clothes, (when I'm not nakies :P) Although the pieces appear to be no mod, there's a resize script, perfect from prim phobes like myself!

Remember the hawtness from Dare Designs I showed you? The Enforcer set is now out in the main store, and the pink colour shown here is the lucky chair exclusive! But that's not all! Dare sent out the red mask set to the group. The mask set contains 2 versions of the gas mask, and the hat, so you can pair it with your own fetish wear. With Mini Ash being on the mend (read running round like a lunatic trying to kill hug the cat) I had some time yesterday to do stuff.



My favie store Axel is having a hooooooooge sale. Everything is 50-75% off. There's also 2 dollarbies to be had, the gold dress shown here is one of them. Your old LM's won't work so please use the slurl at the bottom of this post.



Then I found out about a hunt at Miasofia. Cue bloodcurdling scream for the lack of group notices (ps LL sort that out soon pls kthnx) You're looking for fried eggs, theyre not hidden at all, the idea being for you to explore the new build. I also won twice on the lucky chairs while I was there, this dress from Lurvebite is one of my winnings!! Also made me realise I have some kind of bug going on when taking pictures of items with glow in them. Anyone else having glow issues or is it something *special* reserved just for me?! I also won a gorgeous "Romance Room" from the Miasnow lucky chair, which I left on Sasy's beach, bah!



This gorgy chocolate dress is one of the Lurvebite gifts. It comes with a choice of 3 skirts and all sorts of layers, yay!!



OMG. Is this not the cutest skin in the whole of fucking SL? This is prize number one from Miasnow. It's different from the original Hunny skins, especially around the mouth and nose, I love the changes! I'm hoping for a new line of these *bats eyelashes* :P On another note, for this post I used the VR Foundry pose HUD and library (after getting yelled at by Sasybum for not having an updated product!!) I'm not good with technical shit, but Sas has an awesome video of the front page of her blog, outlining how to use the pose stand, HUD and HUD library. I was moaning about not being good at location pics, and also the rezing of poseballs and such is an issue. Not anymore! Once you get the hang of using it, it'll revolutionize your photo taking, srsly. Ash Out.
