What's IN: Christmas Funny Hats!
Merry Christmas to my wonderful readers! I hope everyone is having a blast this Christmas day with matching red lipstick ;)

Flexible Wired Headbands
Remember magic hair buns back in the days?
Basically, a fabric dissected in the middle with alambre (or wire like those you can get from the auto shop ) so you have better control of twisting and turning it into a perfect hair bun.
Now here comes magic hair scarf also known better as flexible wired headbands. I have two from the Worldbex Bazaar at P240 each while looking for Ford F-150 toys that have check engine light features. I also have one in brown because I want to wear them like LV Bunny Ears.

I am waiting for the right time to wear it just like that porcelain model above. I tried bunny ears whilst trying it on and the vendor panicked.

Feathered Headbands and Mini Hats

Welcome back to the Victorian Era! Headbands have been making a come-back ever since Gossip Girl. But when everyone is donning a big bow on their heads like Minnie Mouse, you can enjoy a more sophisticated style of hair accessories.

Big ribbons and bows are over, entering the scene are padded or feathered headbands. The most elusive designs are those with a faux peacock feather, so elusive that some just decide to make them from scratch. You can make your own feathered headband just by gathering a plain headband, glue gun, backing fabric, and feathers. All of which are readily available in department stores in Manila.
When I personally went to SM Department Store to get my materials, I was taken aback when I saw these:

Now we don't have to make our own when each headband and mini hats with veils only cost around Php 250. In Multiply stores, headbands are kind of overpriced as well as in other shops that I have checked out.
These hair accessories can either spell sophisticated or if not worn properly, they could appear like a circus on your head. However, it's great to grab them now before they are off the racks. Perfect for super parties or when you just feel melodramatic :)

Yes Hair Fair 09 is upon us, and once again the designers have pulled out all the stops for the most worthy of causes. If you havent had a chance to get there yet, you can check out some of the full price hairs on my blog and Ach's blog.
I thought I would show you just a couple of the amazing dollarbies/gifts you can snag over the course of the 2 week fair. The gorgeous, whimsical dress is a gift from Miu. Perfect for a long summer day, and could be totally taken into the night with a change of shoes and hair.
And speaking of hair, the one I'm wearing is a dollarbie from Discord Designs, with 100% of the proceeds going to Locks Of Love. This people is why we do it bigger and better each year, and if I hear one more person whining about not getting in early to the fair, I'ma slap someone. Priorities, srsly, as long as you donate/buy a donation hair, what is the big deal? Dun make yourself look like an asshole, please. That being said, the hair is amazing, loads of new to me designers and many old favies, it's soo worth the deprim. Ash Out.

Welcome Mystic Sky!
My dear friend, Skyler John, has opened a new store called Mystic Sky. It is devoted to Medieval style gowns and fantasy roleplay clothing. All the designs are original. They are so impressive. Her textures are rich and the prims are perfect. The Ella gown in lavender is exclusive to the lucky chair. It includes the cape, which is so wonderfully dramatic. The floral hair garland is a dollarbie.
I can't wait to see more of your work, Skyler! All the best to you!
Dare To Be Different.
Dare from Dare Designs must be one of those all seeing undead types, cos literally as I was about to shuffle off to PS to process the first pic, he dropped a preview on me of next week's releases! We have lucky chair goodness, as well as stuff not in the chair.
This set is shown in my favie colour of Dare's, Blood/Red. The set in the chair is Coffee, as shown here. The Wilhelmina set is a huge folder of goodies, corset, panties, jacket, hat, cane, cape stockings, leggings, boots... oy! Time is about to run out, it will be removed from the chair pretty soon, so you know the drill. The amazing skin shown you can thank Loli for. While it's not free, the only hard time I had was not buying all the sodding fatpacks :P You'll find this beautiful, stitched up bit of dewy goodness at Atomic.
Shown here is the Papillion set, in pink, fuscia (lucky chair exclusives) and my fave again red. They won't be released till next week, but once they are, the pink and fuscia will only be in the chair, not avail to buy. Isn't my hair the absolute cutest. Named after our Loli, and available for a linden, along with 5 other equally pretty styles from Tiny Bird. Although on wearing the hair, I had the strangest urge to yell things IN CAPITALS and also had an odd attraction to mudkips........hmm, wonder if that's coincidence? Ash out.

Ssshhh, spot the green!!
As I've mentioned before on the blog, if you're a hard core RP type, finding "your look" can be terribly hard on a budget. Recently there have been some incredible packs floating round the grid, covering all sorts of looks/avatars. So today it's the turn of the vampire. Fitting as one of the terribly good looking undead has joined our ranks :P
Lunas Boutique is a store I've blogged a few times, discovered through Fashcon around the New year. Do a search for the LL group, there are some super cool gifts in the archives. Including a pose hud stuffed full of poses, total must have. But these outfits are what I'm stoked about, a gift from Candy Shop (in the Lunas Boutique group archives). They are complete vampire avs, including skins (not shown) shapes, teeth, emote hud and all the clothes shown. So many options and stunning pieces, to say I'm blown away is an understatement! Skins! The skins worn with the red outfit are from the Imagen hunt. You're looking for 20 teeny shamrocks, and you'll get 19 skins and some eyes. If anyone needs a hand, drop me a line inworld and I'll be happy to help. None are hidden in walls or anything like that, lets just say that sometimes the most obvious hiding places are the hardest to find :P The skin worn with the black outfit is a gorgeous dollarbie from Domestic V. There's a huge sale going on also, and loads of freebs on the ground floor (you'll find the skin shown upstairs).
I had to sneak a wee bit of green in here!! This beauty is a group gift from Fairytails. You'll need your group tag activated, then snag this for an L. The skin I'm wearing here, and for the rest of the post are part of the Rockberry gift for the most random hunt ever. I love love love them!
I saw a small post about this store on the Freebie Telegraph, and had to go have a nose for myself. Nah! is a new to me store, and all these outfits are free from there, unbelievable! The brown dress also comes with super cute cowboy boots, not sure if you can see them too well. I can't wait till the store is fully stocked so I can go spend, as at the moment, everything is free. Now I'm off to try and give mini Ash a bath, hard at the best of times, but the little princess is sick, so I anticipate much sadness! Ash Out.

I'm gonna start things off quite sedately with this gorgeous, classy number from A Piece Of Candy. A store I haven't blogged for ages (shame on me!) You'll find this, some skins and 2 other outfits in the latest subscribo gift.
And here we have "Jazz Baby" from the ever generous Ms Lemania. Shown here with the stunning "Kept" choker I picked up from Sable Rose as part of the massive Twisted Hunt. There's a lock and key version in the folder and both are my new sloves.
And speaking of the Twisted hunt, I thought I'd show a few of my faves. I know it's been all over the feed, but hopefully my faves don't clash with anyone else's!! These silks are from Subtle Submission, and I adore them. They come with the wrist and ankle chains shown, and cover quite a bit more than regular silks, perfect for shyer wearers!
This is the gift from Blueblood, shown with the most amazing hair from Burning Chrome. Apart from the yummy hunt gifts, you'll also find mucho goodness at the main store, and hit up the group too, a little bird tells me there's something waiting for you :P
I love love this dress from Skinzor, shown with incredible stompers from Self Expression. I'm only up to 20 something out of 103 pressies, so far some have been easy to find, others really really hard. Best advice I can give is de prim, take your time and above all have fun with it. If you can't find a gift, move on to the next. There's a list of the stores participating on the blog, and it's not the end of the world if you have to leave a gift till later. And for the love of all things holy, don't be an asshat kthnx :P Ash Out.
