420: Everybody Must Get Stoned

Waldos from all points of the globe are gathering today to consume the celebrated herb. For the unenlightened, 420 is a term that harkens way back to the 1971 (google it) by some people that are old now.  SL, being in all points of the globe at once.. is it?...yeah... I think...is celebrating today with start of The Stash Bash.  How do we celebrate in SL? Well, you know...with a party and a hunt (bonus).  Read on, good reader, for pretty pictures and details.  The hunt DOES NOT start until after 4:20 PM so if you go early some things may not be ready! Wipe those tears from your eyes.

The hunt kicks off with a party at Mudhoney at 4:00 pm (though you know half of them will be late, cuz, you know) with dancing and much happiness and good energy (munchies?).  Mudhoney is also the starting point for the hunt where you will be searching for bags of weed hidden in participating stores.  The hunt is a small one but those participating are prime and the goods can't be missed.  Neither the cops nor your mom will bust you for this one. 

Much coveted will be the Hookah Hangout Skybox from The Sea Hole.  Do yourself a favor and pick up two because 1) it's fantastic and 2) its no copy and should be rezzed in build mode, so if you are high and mess it up you won't be bummed when you don't have another copy.  While you are there, don't forget there are 2 prizes.  Oh man, I forgot to take a photo of the outfit. 

Sn@tch has a flipping fantastic Hippie Chick outfit in the hunt that comes with 2 different tank tops, a belly ringy and fab backpack.  I paired it with Ripe's Ganja Luv'in jewelry that includes a set for the guys, too.  Hempy Weezles of Ripe played a major role in organizing this hunt so give her the peace sign when you see her about. 

So Many Styles is offering a lacy blouse in green (duh). Look closely at the lace on top for the subliminal message.  

Blue Blood is offering the sexeh Adele lingerie in green. What was I looking for? 

No amount of Visine (or better yet, Opcon) is going to clear these eyes from doremi.  The lovely eyeshadow is also a prize from doremi. I love the horn earrings from Adore & Abhor.  Luckily for me Ducknipple's rocking necklace with handy pipe can also be copped and good to have if you left your steamroller under the driver's seat of your car.

Fashion: Ensembles Sultry Summer interview with Carmina Villaroel | Muñiz Shoe Designer

Here is the latest one on one interview with Ensembles celebrity endorser and ultra fashionista, Carmina Villaroel. I didn't know she was a shoe designer until that local TV commercial revealed. Carmina has and successfully, blossomed into a fashion icon that can give any model a run for their money.

Personally, I love her sophisticated, high-fashion, and age-appropriate style. Admittedly, I was never a fan of Ensembles only until Carmina became their endorser.

What was the experience like for your photoshoot for Ensembles Summer 2011 Campaign? Are you enjoying your new tanned look? As always, I had fun during the shoot. I always look forward to our photo shoots. I love working with my dream team- Mark Nicdao, Robbie P. and Pam Quinones. I love what Pam did to me for the summer look. Fab tan!


Ensembles Sultry Summer Collection

Since you have very fair skin, has it been hard to maintain your skin and keep it healthy-looking during summer? Oh yes, I always take good care of my skin and try to have that sun-kissed look but with my skin tone, it can be difficult to maintain a tan. Back in high school, I attempted to get a tan when I went to Boracay but I failed. I just looked like a lobster. My skin turned red and got sun burned.



What are your thoughts on Ensembles Sultry Summer 2011 collection? I’m a big fan of vibrant, bold colors! I love the entire collection. My super fave is the one-shouldered coral dress I wore during our shoot.


What are your personal styles and favorite outfits during summer season? During summer I love wearing shorts, comfy shirts, tank top, sun dress, flowing skirts, sandals and flip flops.


What are your summer plans for this year? Hopefully, to go on vacation with my whole family either here to Cebu or Bohol or travel overseas.


We keep getting good feedbacks on the Muñiz Shoes! How is it working with Ensembles for your Muñiz shoe line? And what was the experience like for you to personally visit each store to arrange the shoe display? I was so thrilled when Ensembles agreed to put my shoes at their store. I was so excited to fix and arrange my shoes. It’s a dream come true for me to see my shoes finally at the mall. I'm thankful to those who bought my shoes already. My Ensembles family was so supportive of my business-Muñiz shoes. I appreciate all the help they have provided.


Do you plan to make your shoes available to more Ensembles stores? Yes. I will definitely make Muñiz shoes available to other Ensembles stores. Due to a lot of requests, we will also showcase them at Robinson’s Ermita and SM Megamall.

Fashion: For Work and Play

In the new world I've created, most tasks are done online or via phone. Hence I seldom have to dress up unless I have to be physically present like last week. I can't hide how excited I am to let myself out of my home office (still work-related though), I even bought a new red dress - for luck.

And these classic flats. I got a pink pair for just Php 500 +. They remind me of my Steve Madden shoes, only Penshoppe's are a lot more affordable! I got too excited though and after an hour walking, I realized the size I got were smaller than my feet.

Now if only the human body does not require sleep, I'd be the happiest person on earth! More time please :)

Fashion: Fearless Forecast on What Dresses to Buy Right Now

Our metro lifestyle keeps us moving from one place to the next without time to spare for an outfit change. A simple shirt and a pair of trusty jeans is great for the weekend, but I've seen women in distress simply because they weren't' dressed' to the occasion, and usually what is required is a literally a 'dress'. It could be for an impromptu meeting with the bosses, clients, or a cocktail event you forgot about.

My personal solution to this is find a middle ground type of dress that can pass as both casual and formal piece of clothing. I seldom encounter bookings that need a strict formal attire, rather, most occasions nowadays appreciate semi-formal or cocktail wear.

Right this moment I am observing sleeveless knee-length dresses with subtle folded overlays, tulle trim, or ruffles. Compared to the previous year's ruffles and oversized big bang, the keyword this 2011 is 'subtlety' (in my opinion). 2010 was inspired very well by big details, Lady Gaga fashion that it is no longer exceptional.

I am starting to think that beige is the silent colour of the year, a far contrast from the previous black mega trend. Though my advice is to add color to your closet this year, check out the above photo of the Calvin Klein dress in red. Yummy!

Slender arms are still in and so is thin. So continue reading on a fitness blog to get a dose of fashion and weight loss. They are twins. I must work on my diet and so should you. No excuses or no fashionable dresses ;)

It's still the season of love bugs and is the perfect time to wear romantic pieces inspired by lace! Fashion runways dictate how lace and other "subtle cut-outs" and "see-throughs" reign 2011. Highlands 1L Mini Hunt!

Hi! I'm new here, my name is Ashe Anthony and I was invited to join Free*Style! So glad and excited to be part of this wonderful team here. Enough about me, this post is about the 2 day hunt at the Highlands!

Buttons, RezIpsa Loc and estetica are having a small hunt where you hunt for small frosted donuts and buy them for 1L each. In these donuts, you will find poses (a male one too!), furniture, tops, hair, nails, accessories, and flats. A lot of goodies.

Happy New Year 2011

From our make-shift photobooth to yours, happy new year!

Our party was a success with everyone wearing red. Indeed fashion makes the world a happier place! I am wearing the Kashieca red dress I got for just Php350 ++ during their sale.

Meanwhile, my New Year's Eve date is wearing a red & geeky Optimus Prime shirt from Transformers. He's got lots of these funny cute shirts, including fish t shirts and Pets T Shirt. His hat is from a street vendor, I got it for Php20 for my 7 month old.

Me and my sister have matching outfits, actually we bought the same dress. It made me look pregnant though haha :) My headband is a pink hello kitty crown from Marcella's, at Php 85++.

Now I know the makings of a fun yet practical New Year's Eve home party: Lechon, costumes, hats, photobooth, and lots of party poppers!

Just 3 more days to go and 2010 will be two thousand and late. It's just recently I learned the value of being "dressed for the occasion". I've taken this to heart not just for fancy pictures but for the fun of it.

I told everyone they should wear red if they are attending my New Year's Eve party, that's after me and my sister took a look around for blaring red dresses and blouses in a mall.

Surprisingly, we ended up at Kashieca- for some reasons they have lots of red items on display. I got three items, one for my sister and another for my mom. They even had a polka dot red dress (I got that too!).

What's IN: Christmas Funny Hats!

This Christmas, I made it simple and fun with Christmas funny hats and headbands which I distributed to everyone. Instant cuteness and holiday cheer!

At Ayala Triangle Park

Continuing with my Saturday field trip, at Ayala Triangle Park.

30 minutes before leaving my house, I repaired this old dress by removing the ribbon near the chest. I also removed the garter from the bottom seams. I don't think balloon dresses would come back..



It was also my necklace's first day out, only Php 120 from Landmark. Makes a whole lot difference on an old dress.

I walked from Dusit Hotel to Ayala Triangle wearing my thigh high boots. I deserve an award or a non-surgical liposuction.

Penshoppe Shop List

Parties are all over town and it's a good excuse to invest (yet again) in a dress or two. I am especially haunted by this frilly dress from Penshoppe.



I would wear it with an oversized cardigan and my thigh high boots. Wondering if it would make me look fat though?

Walk in the Park

Nothing new. After seeing Angel Aquino's cover at Working Mom magazine, I realized many of us (I am guilty) have been donning "in" fashion items like sparkly tops, Vice Ganda padded shoulders, pvc tights, etc.



Seeing Angel wear something like a knitted item on top of a textured plain white dress was a breath of fresh air. I think her outfit looked comfy, homey, and nice. Usually I cringe at the sight of knits and even gave away my old ones.

Don't you just love going against the flow? :)

Fashionably Stressed! x Thigh High Boots

Today's outfit with the mission to pull out clothes at Forever 21 for Samsung's fashion show.

I was in the mall at 10AM and almost won the early bird award.



In between picking out items and hanging them on my designated rack, eager shoppers couldn't resist pulling out from my selection. No one guarded my rack except for a helpless paper with my name on it, so...



At 12nn I was still pretending to be a stylist, but took a break and had Beef Gyudon lunch at Bubble Tea.

2PM I finally completed my set, I asked the staff to kindly secure my items by bringing them inside but she said she will already need to list everything, that no one will pull out an item because it had the piece of paper, etc.



After my super short trip to the loo, lo and behold - two outfits complete with tops, bottoms, and accessories were already missing just like our garden planter! Imagine me panicking and the staff trying to say no one picked any items from the rack. But I am sure they were complete before I left because I have been working on them for hours!

Later on she apologized about how she could not guard the items because she was minding the register too and how shoppers should have gotten from my selection. Haaayyyy. It was a nightmare, I wanted to cry.

I have more I want to tell (like how the staff asked me, "pati yung pang mens isusuot niyo po?" and how different sums came up everytime she compute the items that I had to bring in and out items to my rack).

But those aside, *I think* I enjoyed. I mean compared to my olden office days, I'd rather face clothes for hours than memos, payrolls, reading about planters etc. And I'd rather be at Forever 21.

My set would walk the runway at Megamall's Atrium in the afternoon, there are models and I won't be wearing the clothes I selected. Most definitely I won't wear men's clothing.

Heard there will also be a prize for the best stylist? but as early as now, I do not expect to win, I believe I won't, and contests make me feel awkward. This entry is actually part of me feeling awkward.

Now off to earn dollars from window box planters.
