Fashion: Samsung Alter Ego Fashion Show | Forever 21

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs756.ash1/164753_498579983200_695318200_6060857_4178229_n.jpg

That's me internalizing Rachel Zoe. I get dead serious whenever I style people, especially during Samsung's Alter Ego fashion show.

I worked with two models, Rochelle from UA&P and actor/dancer Rodjun Cruz. I used clothes from Forever 21 (where I spent the entire day choosing clothes). The show was suppose to be of fashion bloggers but I think most of my usual mates were either busy or are cocooning.

This is my look number two on Rochelle. I would die for this immaculate outfit, I chose all whites and used an intricate bib necklace of pearls and lace. All from Forever 21.

My look number 2 for Rodjun. Inspiration: construction worker + sexy.

Rodjun is so game. I didn't know he actually flashed his abs which I requested him to do behind the stage.

I didn't win. Can you believe it? just kidding! I wish someone snapped a photo of my "daring look". Thank you to my friend Alex Dizon for sharing the photos on Facebook :)

Fashionably Stressed! x Thigh High Boots

Today's outfit with the mission to pull out clothes at Forever 21 for Samsung's fashion show.

I was in the mall at 10AM and almost won the early bird award.

In between picking out items and hanging them on my designated rack, eager shoppers couldn't resist pulling out from my selection. No one guarded my rack except for a helpless paper with my name on it, so...

At 12nn I was still pretending to be a stylist, but took a break and had Beef Gyudon lunch at Bubble Tea.

2PM I finally completed my set, I asked the staff to kindly secure my items by bringing them inside but she said she will already need to list everything, that no one will pull out an item because it had the piece of paper, etc.

After my super short trip to the loo, lo and behold - two outfits complete with tops, bottoms, and accessories were already missing just like our garden planter! Imagine me panicking and the staff trying to say no one picked any items from the rack. But I am sure they were complete before I left because I have been working on them for hours!

Later on she apologized about how she could not guard the items because she was minding the register too and how shoppers should have gotten from my selection. Haaayyyy. It was a nightmare, I wanted to cry.

I have more I want to tell (like how the staff asked me, "pati yung pang mens isusuot niyo po?" and how different sums came up everytime she compute the items that I had to bring in and out items to my rack).

But those aside, *I think* I enjoyed. I mean compared to my olden office days, I'd rather face clothes for hours than memos, payrolls, reading about planters etc. And I'd rather be at Forever 21.

My set would walk the runway at Megamall's Atrium in the afternoon, there are models and I won't be wearing the clothes I selected. Most definitely I won't wear men's clothing.

Heard there will also be a prize for the best stylist? but as early as now, I do not expect to win, I believe I won't, and contests make me feel awkward. This entry is actually part of me feeling awkward.

Now off to earn dollars from window box planters.

Patrice Ramos-Diaz at Face Off

Continuing my blog series on the Face Off fashion show sponsored by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Samsung's 3D LED, here are the creations of renowned bridal fashion designer Patrice Ramos-Diaz.

The entire collection was pure femininity. Soft fabrics, light colors, light movement, everything was pretty. I am not sure if it was chiffon fabric used in the skirts and dresses as Patrice Ramos-Diaz is known for using indigenous materials for her work. But whatever fabric it was, it sure fits the woman's figure and movement. It is this element of the clothes that add the right amount of softness. It sure was a breath of fresh air from all the sharp cuts and shapes seen in the earlier parts of the show.

Soft in black

Aside from flowy dresses and skirts, pieces in shimmering fabric also made their way to the runway. This time, the pieces are closer to the body to show off a woman's figure.

Johnson's Body Care Lotion x Bayo - Soft Look Collection

Frills and layers paired with a curly loose hair style create a soft look

It all begins with soft, clear skin. That is exactly what Johnson's body care mission is for women to enjoy fashion fit for a lady. Together with Bayo, Johnson's body care showcased fashionable pieces that celebrate a woman's soft skin. This is the Soft Look collection, as romantic as it can get.

Soft but powerful, pointy shoulders married with soft fabric

I've seen some of the clothes in Johnson's Body Care Lotion TV advertisement but I did not expect that the pieces from Bayo's Soft Look Collection would look even more romantic in person. Definitely drool-worthy, imagine showing up on a date wearing one of these romantic ensembles.

Pieces in pastel and light colors

To achieve the soft look, remember that it's all about skin. Yet, observe how the pieces above are sexy without going overboard. Johnson's Body Care Lotion has 3 variants for you to choose from whether you need to moisturize, relax, or whiten your skin.

The Soft Look Collection pieces are available in Bayo stores until June 15, 2010. When you buy anything from the collection, you will get a free Johnson's Body Care Lotion :)

Face Off presents Ivarluski Aseron

The recent face off did not feature just two but four highly renowned Filipino designers including Ivarluski Aseron.

This was my first time seeing Aseron's work ramp down the runway and if I may attempt to do a commentary, the collection was a feast of different necklines fused into a contrast of sharp and soft silhouttes.

Deep v-necks that sophisticatedly show off the woman's cleavage take the shape of men's vests that radiate Aseron's signature edgy peek-a-boo style.

The cut out skirt reminds me of paper dolls

The runway was also filled with Aseron's geometrical shapes and cut-outs close to the body. Sexy and powerful. Pieces were in black, grey, and white shades of soft yet sharply cut fabrics.

All in all Ivarluski showed 20 pieces that somehow came out of the new Samsung 3D TV.

I was thinking of meeting my idol designer face to face and doing an interview but some say, never meet your heroes and admiration from afar is the best as it can get x.x

It could never be more fashionable than this and so we thank Samsung for supporting another successful round of Face Off to celebrate lifestyle and creativity. And of course for the front seats! :)
