Christmas is Coming... the Cat is Getting Fat

Holiday Noche Buena with CDO Ham

Christmas is not complete without Noche Buena, and the holiday feast is not complete without the traditional ham that glazes your table with sumptuous flair.

If there is one brand I am turning to this Christmas, when everyone is a hungry hippo- it's CDO. I started last week by trying their burger patties which let me serve homemade burger to my family without the fuss.


This Noche Buena, we are definitely trying the CDO Holiday Ham (as seen on TV). Unlike other hams, it is both tasty and affordable at just Php 220 for the Pear-Shaped Ham. I like marinating these in pineapple juice and glazing it with what remains of the juice and brown sugar. Though, they will be fine by themselves if you are pressed for time.

Prime cuts of young pork were cured to perfection with only the finest ingredients and spices to give the CDO Christmas Hams that delicious taste everyone loves.

CDO Pista Cooked Ham (PhP 360 a kilo) and CDO Holiday Whole-Meat Ham (PhP 410 a kilo) are available in leading supermarkets and grocery stores nationwide. Until December 31, 2009, CDO is giving away limited edition Christmas plates, one for every PhP 300 worth of purchase.

CDO’s other ham products include Hamon de Bola (PhP 295 a kilo), Pear-shaped Ham (PhP 220 per piece), and American Ham (PhP 148 per piece).

Killing Zombies Makes Trees Pop Out Sometimes

My favorite event in all of SL last year was the zombie killing Christmas event. I actually don't even remember what the prizes were because this event is so much more than the prizes. It's seriously FUN! Not many things in SL, structured event wise, are that fun anymore. You can only do so many hunts, go to so many clubs, and abuse gestures in so many stores before everything becomes ho hum. Basically what you do is go to the event starting point. Click the oh so sad reindeer for information. He is sad because someone turned Santa into zombies and now there will be no Christmas!! It's up to you to "purify" the Santas to save Christmas. Buy the male or female outfit box (whatever floats your boat :P) and wear. Resize your hair/hat to fit correctly then delete the script. Wearing the outfit adds to the fun and goofiness and reduces the lag for everyone. Grab the free pillow/weapon and TP to either the Love Soul or Nipponbashi sim.Hair: Love Soul, zombie event prize

When you see a zombie (they are all OUTSIDE of the stores, not inside) get close and click the ground. You will pillow smack them to death. They will either contain a prize-giving Christmas tree or they'll just fall flat and disappear. If there is a prize inside you don't have to click it or anything, it will automatically be sent to you. Only a small portion of zombies hold a prize. Seriously, a SMALL portion. Blue Christmas

Some very snow-like finds for you since there is a massive blizzard heading my way in RL. The dress is the MM board version of the latest release, Sabrina, from Ingenue. I love the color so much, it reminds me of this one wrapping paper my sister used that was so awesome I liked it, even though I hate wrapping paper and usually make my own :P
And the details! The skin...yum! It's from Nuuna's and can be had for a whopping 0L under the Christmas tree at the entrance to Nuuna's/Vanity Hair. I have been a major lover of Nuuna's fun makeups and this did not disappoint me. The hair is 10L from Nightshade Designs in a hunt for cheapies from vendors on the sim.
