Free Dove Update!

I am sure most of us remember the Free Dove. When you are a new player and not sure if you will like SL you want to try it out without spending a lot of money, so you search "free" in places. In general you end up with a load of...um...yuck. The Free Dove started out several years ago as a place to introduce new players to *good* designers by giving them free gifts as a way to look good as a start. Sadly, the store had not been updated in ages and was feeling very dated. Well the owner decided to reinvigorate it! Right now there are a lot of designers working on new goodies to put out there and a few have already set up some items. Check it out!

Do you remember ETD? If not then you must be a n00b because EVERYONE who was around for any good amount of time knows ETD. For years Elikapeka Tiramisu brought us some of the most amazing creations in SL history and now she's back! The new brand is called [elikatira] and right now there are some awesome new products which you can see HERE on Xstreet. Since she is super generous she has set out this hair in all colors for free!! Squee!

Little Mix of goodies today!

This corset from Pink Posh is one of several colors in the lucky chair at the moment. There is also a cute 10L lingerie set near the front door that you must have! The hair is from RezIpsa Loc who recently joined Hump Day Happiness and the white color is only 69L!! This picture is tinted funny but the white in person is very clear and lovely.

The shoes are from another new addition to Hump Day Happiness, Rose River Saloon. Only 69L and really fun! Yes, I know, it's a fashion faux pas to to tint your toes the color of your stockings but I like to do it so :P

Some nice frisky finds for you today ;D The corset I am wearing is the midnight mania gift from Onyx Wear. The textures and sculpts are so nice you can almost feel the laces tightening around you!

I have some fun colorful gifties for you today! This fun skirt from Hyper Culture is a gift for the addiction hunt and comes with a sweater also (not shown.) The belt is from Izzie's and comes in a whole bunch of colors! Win! The top is part of the riot vend set from Sn@tch. Several colors of the top are included as well as an adorable mini skirt and fishnet stockings for a low price of 45L (or 50L..I can't recall but either way it is LOW.)

The boots I am wearing are from Show Me on the Doll and while not free you can get a whole bunch of different colors and patterns in the tippy toe boot gacha machine for cheap! I wanted to share a close up of the other accessories. The pink nails/ring set is an item camp for subscribers of the U&R Dogs group. The blue nails/ring set is a hunt gift in store! Pretty easy to find if you keep a watch out for music, hehe. The green earrings are one of many colors in the gacha machine for 10L and I was lucky enough to get my favorite color on the first try! Sn@tch Fishing Prize and a Couple Fair Previews

If you don't have a 7Seas fishing set by now you are seriously missing out. So many stores have custom catch prizes and one of those stores is Sn@tch. The fishing prize at Sn@tch changes rather frequently and this week it is the Blue Kawaii outfit.

There are 21 pieces to catch so it could take a while but with auto catch on you can go do the dishes and laundry and come back, haha. Also there are a lot of people out there who are willing to trade extras to make the process go faster. A 7Seas rod is about 259L and 30L for 100 pieces of bait but sooo worth it! There are other pieces too that I am not wearing, including some great shoes with leg warmers. The skin I am wearing is from me :D and is only 50L.

The boots I am wearing are not free but deserve a close up. They are color change and soo cute! Available from Dilly Dolls at the Black and Blue fair, which is an event supporting mental health awareness in SL.

Hippie Hippie Shakes (Update!)

So in RL I am much more into punk, psychobilly, goth, etc. than I could ever be into the whole...neo-hippie thing. But Sn@tch released this cute summery outfit for their group gift and it might get me to start feeling the earth mother vibes and whatnot.

I decided to dehermit myself for both a good and a bad thing today.

If anyone IM's me about it, I'll probably rip your head off, and in the theme of today, that wouldn't be a very good thing, so just leave it be okay guys, yes, I know it's going on, I can see my avi and I grimace.

That being said there is a very good reason this anti-pink wearing Canadian sl designer is wearing pink today.

To make a long story short, 3 years ago in a Canadian school, a male student got bullied for wearing a pink shirt on his first day of high school. Over the past 3 years, across the country and globally, the day is now sort s celebratory stand, against bullies, and what it means to be bullied. This mostly accomplished by peer support.

Now it might have started in a high school, with teenage students, but the issue of bullying goes across many age groups.

A group of designers took it upon themselves to bring the awareness here, in sl. I'm sure you have heard some sort of story, or had something happen to you yourself. So join the "Sea of Pink" today, even if it might not be your fav colour and you'd rather have acid dumped in your eyes.

Rotten Princess

My friend Roxanne Wemyss recently called me to sit on a lucky chair at Rotten Toe, where this lovely free "Tudor" dress, with a fabby lace-edged bubble skirt, was waiting for me. *mwuahs Roxanne*
Rotten Toe creator Elsa Liebknecht has thoughtfully crammed lotsa details into this dress that are tres cute. The matte "shine" texturing, 3/4 lacey cuff sleeves, shoulder pads + neck ruffle add historical flair + a costumey "royalty" touch.
Speaking of costumey "royalty" touches, I couldn't resist slipping on this free pink tiara by Sn@tch @ Relay For Life with this look, which so channels high school prom. (And speaking of the Relay for Life clothing fair that's ending tonite, I just gotta say *huuuge mwuahs* to Sileny + Eden for covering this cancer awareness event so thoroughly. -- You guys rock. Hard.) And since the fashion feeds are all about the new Tuli "Eva" makeups, I remembered this store's previous innocent-yet-sexy "Eva" skin gift that I still love oh so much.
