Magic of Oz Has Bunny Power!

The Magic of Oz sim has a hunt going on! There are gifts from Silent Sparrow, Schadenfreude, Katat0nik...basically tons of places. I had planned on taking pictures of all of the items but my computer seems to have crapped out so I only got pictures of a few things D: Hopefully you get the idea though because everything rocks!

To get the prizes you go to the landing point and grab a basket. You wear the basket and wander around the sims looking for gold coins that appear randomly. When you see them click right away as only one person can get them until the next appears!

When you have gathered enough coins you can select a store from which to get a prize. Then you wear the object you receive, go to the store, click the candy dish, grab your prize and off you go to get more coins and start over! It's a long process but I find it's really fun to go with a friend and just be silly and take pictures and stuff while looking :) There are two sims to cover, Magic of Oz and Ozimals.

Once again, there are tons of prizes that I didn't get to photograph due to computer suckage. There are dresses, tattoos, tiny avatars, furniture, garden items, jewelry...just tons of great stuff. Go grab it!

Strawberry Festival!

The Magic of Oz hunts are always my fave. Usually they take FOREVER because you have to wait around for random objects to show up and it can literally take hours, even days, to find all of them. This time around, however, things are much easier!
Basically you go to the Magic of Oz landing point and grab a folder that contains a basket. Wear the basket and go around finding the strawberries that randomly appear. When you get six berries a menu will pop up asking you to choose which store you would like the prize for. Select that store and you will receive a fork to wear. Wear and click this fork at the cake inside the store you chose and you will get he prize! Repeat this as many times as you want. There are tons of prizes I haven't even shown, even housewares and such!
I also wanted to show a close-up of the Ay.Line group gift hair and the Nomine gacha skin!! Looooove! The Ay.Line hair is a fat pack of colors so one for everyone. The Nomine gacha has been filled with brand spanking new stuff and A LOT of the items are skins! SO HAPPY. There are also skins in the lucky chairs and the fortune teller. Win!

Hunting for Slippers

So here is the spoiler!

You wanted to see the gifts, and here I got them for you!

You saw the last post on freestyle with Achariya showing the Katat0nik dress. Now here is the rest:



I'll start you off with a green mix. I love green, it's my favvy sl colour. So hard to find the right shades in rl. So here I'm wearing a few bits from the Silent Sparrow hunt gift, Grassies. It's a continuation of her much loved jammie sets. This one with a grasshopper theme. There is the skirt, shorts, shirt, gloves, tattoo and the little head tentacles. I'm wearing with it the hunt gift skin from Schadenfreude.



These skins come in 2 tones, and you get them in both womens and mens versions. The sparkles on the makeups are simply wonderful. Allegory wrote a little note about the skins, stating she already has these skin, but in other colours, at her mainstore. Now the funny thing is she never did this colouration before, and if anyone knows Allegory, it was a shocker. No Green already made? giggles.



Now to show off the dude jammies. I was so happy with all the wonderful green. So the shirt and pants are the rest of the Silent Sparrow hunt gift. Now these Antennae wear made by the wonderful Radio Signals. She might not be on the Magic of Oz sim, but she was kind enough to make them, and have them thrown in with the Silent Sparrow hunt gift. They come in all face attachment points, so bonus to that. The cane is from Arcavim, as part of their hunt gift. The cane puffs clouds of steam. The glasses are the mens hunt gift from Crie Style. as with their jewelry and monacles, they brought a level of expert crafting into a item that is seamingly simple. They are resizable, which was great, cause my dude's face is big.



Now some of you might know, some of you might not, but Magic of Oz has been bunnah crazy for the last few weeks. The launch of Ozimals is coming up soon, and everyone is hyped. I made these bunnah ears way back in July, and never got them out in the store(still working on scripts, uggg). So this set I share with you as my hunt gift, you get the ears, whiskers and tail. It has a little charm on it that says "Oz Bunnah".

Malkavyn, part sim owner, and designer of malContent, made this cute little shoulder bunnah critter as his hunt gift. It's a moody little thing. It's actually called a Minimood Bunneh. You click him and can change his mood, it will display the mood, but also change it's little face. The faces are so funny.



Here I'm wearing the womens hunt gift from Arcavim. It's this wonderful umbrella, which has an animation while you are holding it. I'm actually doing it, but well you obviously can't see me moving! The dress is the Crie Style hunt gift for women. It so goes perfect with the umbrella. Has a sort of mutted colour with bits of green splashed about, it you look closely.



Next up we got the 2 hunt gifts from The Laughing Academy. These hats are wonderful, you can tell Tabitha Ninetails had fun making them. They are unisex I would say, but the tophat moreso. They are really in the theme of Oz, with a token from each of the movie's memorable characters. They went well with the hunt gift from Evie's Closet, this Silk set. MMMMM more wonderful green. As with all items from EC, this has all those added touches you have come to expect. Resizes easily.



You might know of the now famed Risusipo Jun, who has made Oz sprout full of little Chipmunk
and Otter tinies. Well the store has branched out, and for the holiday season, there is a little witches shop up on the Witch's Castle, filled with halloweeny type things. One of the new products is this Bunny Witch set. This colour you can get as the hunt gift!

And as always the little peguins make an appearance in the hunt, with this dragonfly riding halloween peguin. It is a wearable, and flies around your head.



Risusipo Jun is always very generous and supportive of the Magic of Oz sim, helping with all sorts of events and whatnot. These 3 gifts are also in the hunt, making it a total of 4. These little characters sit on either shoulder(I put the ghost on my head), and are animated to open and shut their eyes.



PrettiFuL is offering 2 hunt gifts. These wonderful scepters. They are scripted to poof stars, and have a twirl gesture. The pumpkin one has 5 different pumkin texture types you can click thru.

Awwww I'm holding hands with myself.



LouLou&Co has put 2 gift in the hunt. These wonderful belts you can get in these 2 colours. They have little buckles and pouches on them for added detail. I'm sure you can get alot of use out of the orange one in the upcoming weeks.



Magic of Oz has sort of gotten known for it's Wearables. When it frist opened there was a little scarecrow and tree shoulder buddy, various other vendors have offered shoulder pets/buddies
. Now it's JD Mechanical Toy Factory's turn to bring you a little critter of your own. It's a traditional Halloween Scarecrow. He has a bit of glow to him, and sort of makes you think he's totally laughing at you while trying to figure out how to lop your head off.



JD Mechanical Toy Factory also had a decorative pumkin in it's hunt gift package, show here with the Rebel-X hunt gift. This gift is a nice low prim decoration that you could put out at your home or store, and with the monochromatic theme, it can easily fit in anywhere.



MnM made these crazy Boots for their hunt gift. You really have to sit there and take a look at them, the texturing on these things are simply wicked, and they will be great for any elf/frumpy witch outfits for the season.



Last I leave you with my model LadyLight Koolhoven, she always helps me when there is hair, since I can't wear it, but it needs to be shown. This hair is the hunt gift from Wasabi Pills. It's a hunt exclusive colour. LadyLight paired with with the hunt gift from KessCreations, which is a whole outfit! you get shoes, stockings with bows, even a hair bow which you can't see, the whole dress and a matching necklace! Now the gift is titled *Hilarious* Dorothy. We could not figure out what was so funny so if you find out please share, I'm rl blonde and sometimes have things go over my head.

Oziversary

It's been a year.

A year of magic, mind bending and wonder.

Magic of Oz first opened it's doors to the public with a hunt that was so unique it was talked about for months to come. It didn't stop there, with other hunts cropping up here and there on the sim , breaking the rules, making hunts more interesting, more worth it, and with designers more happy to provide gifts, cause it was something REAL.

To mark it's start of it's Second Year, The Team at Magic of Oz are bringing back the Slipper Hunt, new and improved, but with a Twist. This year is the Witch's year.

The Witch's Twisted magic has turned all the slipper to silver. Your mission, help find all the slippers. There are many to be had. Here is a list, so you can more easily track what you need:

As you can see from above guys, there are more then a few items that you yourself can grab up. Most Vendros at Magic of Oz try to make these events fun for all sexes/Races/Creatures.

I'll be previewing a few of the gifts here as a sneak peak, but I have a full post on it's way. The reason for this, is these hunts at Magic of Oz are always a bit different, and you guys need a bit of help sometimes, I find it easier to look at a post rather then a notecard, when out and about.

So how do you play?

A) Silvery Slippers fall all around the sim, these are what you are looking for. When you do find one, click on it, and it's yours! It will send you a Witch's Hat.

B) This hat will go into your objects folder once you have accepted it. It will have the name of the store on it. Now for those Designers that have more then one gift in their Stores, you'll have to collect a few up. Now some stores have 2 locations, these hats will say where that hat can be used, Munchkin Land or the Witch's Castle.

C) You want your prize now don't you? Wear the hat, go find the store, the hat will have in it's title and will chat what store it belongs to. So go on, find the store!

D) You looking for that naughty broom that holds your prize hostage. You got to get really close to it, maybe Hump or Ride it? that might help. While you are rubbing try clicking your hat, you should get a gift! See those digital thighs are good for something.

E) Now that hat is useless, one time use only, no matter how much the broom likes your attention! So if it's one of them stores with 2 gifts, throw on your other hat for the same store, or go find another. The thing that can suck is the broom sends gifts out at random, so you might get the same gift 3 times in a row. It's all just luck I guess.

F) Enjoy your gifty!

***Tip: collect multiples of the store that have multiple gifts, so you don't have to go find another hat is the second sends you the same gift. Also I like to collect all hunt items first, then go store hopping, cause that way you can just go on tour, with all hats, rather then trying to find that one store amoung many.***

Here I am in the halloween decorated sim of Magic of Oz, I'm wearing the Hunt Gift from eyecandy, and an event exclusive dress from The Laughing Academy, which is only L$50 during this event.



Here is a closer look at the necklace. Candy Cerveau has some of my favorite peral textures that she uses in her pieces.



Here I'm wearing another event exclusive dress from The Laughing Academy, which is only L$50 during this event paired with the Hunt Gift from Balderdash.



This Necklace and Earring set from Bladerdash is truely unique. Balderdash is known for it's use of colours and it's organic feel to their jewelry. This is actually the type of jewelry I make in RL. I didn't get a shot, but the back of this necklace is truely amazing, shown loosely done up off to the one side. Also the textures on the earrings are differnet, not mirrored, making the stones seem very moody. I don't wear jewelry in sl, for many different reasons, but Bladerdash is one of the few stores I will buy jewelry from and actually wear for myself, and not an ad.

I went all man for ya! So excited about the new man skins on the way by Tuli, I'm wearing the prototype here! Can't have it tho, neener neener! Shown here are the eyes made by Malkavyn Eldritch. Malk is the other part sim owner of Magic of Oz. Him and Candy make an awesome team, and they are a blast to be around. Malk makes some wonderfully bright eyes which are perfect for a girl like me, or mangirl, whatever! Did you know he makes textures for people to buy to build with too?

Oz themed dude shirts, this one based off of The Road to Oz novel.



This one was sort of made for Malk, well him and his hoard of flying monkeys! So come on guys, you get to come play too!



You can even score this unisex tie, one of the newest creations from Allegory Malaprop. Again with the green. I think Ally and I have stocks in that colour. And Mohawks. Makes us rich Rich girls, so come on convert!



Evangeline Miles made a special colour of her Saiyge Gown, a colour you wont be able to find in her store. This gown has a bit of extra splendor woven right into that back train. Would balance out LadyLight's big ass head! *Snickers*



I had to do a frontal shot, you have to see the delicate bead work on the belt.



Tabitha Ninetails made our next goodie. Now I have to give you her description, cause it sort of made me peal with laughter, and it says it just the right way.

Cupcake Survival Kit

It's an emergency cupcake dispenser that you wear as an armband. You or anyone else who is in dire need of a cupcake can click the jar for both a wearable minicupcake that attaches to your mouth, and a wearable, edible cupcake that attaches to your right hand. Good for surviving long shopping expeditions in strange sims devoid of cake.

So wear it with pride, you'll be doing everyone a service in making cake available to all sims!



This book is some sort of awesome!

You can click it and make illusions appear!

Utano Schell made it, and it does a few more things too. Come with instructions, so no worries there! You'll be on your way to becoming a first class wizard.



And now for the last gift you will find on you adventures in Oz, this little angel of blessing penguin by Gonbe Shan. It's really amazing all the different things this creator can do with a penguin. This one flies by your shoulder and showers you with flowers.Perfect way to end an event like this!

The long and winding road to OZ

The Wonderful World of Oz-Part 1

Magic of Oz always brings you really well thought out events to enjoy every few months. The vendors always bring on quality items for you to enjoy at these times. The events themselves are always done in such a memorable way, it's hard not to wish for something to go on more often!
This event had a wee bit of a setback, but it's jumping with action now! I'll split the gifts into 2 posts so that I don't blow up Free*style.

This Otter avatar that rides in a floating balloon is one of the many gifts you'll receive in your adventure. It was made by Risusipo Jun, a very talented and creative designer.



Here's what you need to know to participate:

Scattered throughout the sim are podiums with books on them. Click the book and you will be asked a trivia question. If you answer correctly, you will be given a balloon. Wear the balloon and it will tell you what shop to visit. Go into the shop and look for a birthday cupcake. When you are within 2m of the cupcake, click your balloon and you will receive a special Birthday gift from the Wizard! There are 15 podiums in all. REMEMBER! These questions are based on the Oz ~books~, not the movie. ;D

More events will be held all week long, join the Magic of Oz update group to keep informed - just touch one of the signs around the sim!



The vendors were asked to make items that had something to do with the books, written by L.Frank Baum. hyasynth Tiramisu made this lovely scrappy outfit, based off the character, Patchwork Girl or Scraps for short, who appeared in several of the novelist's series. I paired this with one of a set of skins you'll also find in the hunt. The skins were based off the 4 Wicked Witches from the novels.



Each witch had a themed colour in the novels, or had coloured skins.



While your down in oz, take some pictures on the many poseballs hidden throughout the sim, they have been made with loving care by Dove Swanson of [LAP].



Yes you guess it, Wicked Witch of the West!



I had my one buddy Ladylight Koolhoven model some of the gifts as she was flitting about the sim. Her you see her in Bridge Aya's take on the Dorothy dress.



These stockings and shoes come from lolly Carlberg's imagination. Though maybe not accurate to the novels, these will make all the movie lovers cry out in joy! The details on the top of the stockings really show you a sense of craftsmanship lolly brings to her items.



Ladylight was kind enough to throw on the hair that MissAllSunday Lemon made for the event. It resizes by touch, which is good, cause Ladylight has a big ass head =) *Winks*



Rouge Darcy made a backpack to match the hair, got to love collabs. Everything all matchy matchy! The textures on these are all fab. We always know this duo will bring you something to enjoy for a long item to come. Wonder what sort of thing a tinman backpack carries?



And lastly for part 1, here you will see the lovely gift of part sim owner, Candy Cerveau. This lady has alot going on, and still she made an exquisite piece for you all to enjoy! I really love the direction her works have turned to. As one that isn't satisfied with most sl jewelry, I'm starting more and more to love her work. There is a more organic look that is leaking into her items. She also just renovated the store a bit, so take a look while you are clicking you cuppycake!

Just a friendly reminder . . . These designers and the sim owners, take alot of time to help hold these kinds of events. Magic of Oz has always felt like a very loving community for me. They want you to feel at home, explore and have an enjoyable shopping and fishing experience.

Show them a little love, say thanks. It honestly does go a long way. Designers really don't hear it enough.

Magic of Oz-Baum's Birthday Bash!

Magic of Oz is yet again hosting a event like no other!

With the designers of the sim participating in a birthday bash for the creator of the original book series, it's your goal to answer the trivia questions to snag the goodies they made.

The system is set up for multiple languages, so more broad of an audience can play.

You'll get your instructions when you tp into the sim today. As with all the Magic of Oz events, please PLEASE read the instructions carefully. This will save you loads of time, I promise you this!

I'll update with a list of participating designers once I got everything handed in.

So come, enjoy a fun filled event thats sure to be remembered!
