First Breaking Dawn Footage To Be Released At ComicCon 2011?!

So in the unlikely case you didn't know - considering passes sold out in under three hours (2 months, 4 failed attempts and three hours) for Comic Con 2011 - the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn cast are rumoured to be at the event as well as releasing footage in San Diego this July 21-24th.

According to The HD Room:
This year's Comic-Con in particular is poised to be perhaps the biggest yet. In a battle of screaming female tweens versus comic book faithful, Summit Entertainment will present new footage and the stars of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
We'll have to see whether the cast can handle this much crazy, but I'd be surprised if Summit didn't through we TwiCrackers some sort of bone - even though, the first official Breaking Dawn trailer is expected to be released at the MTV Movie Awards over a month before on June 5th.

However, can I please request now: No Screaming!

New/Old EW Interview from Comic Con

Click to play

Thanks to Debra for emailing this interview in (not sure how I missed it!) along with this snippet from Stephen King in EW's Sept 18th Fall TV Preview issue:

What's going to happen to books?
E-book downloads now account for only 1.5% of the total market...but that was once true of compact discs, and if you've bought an actual vinyl record lately, you're in very select company. At this writing, best-selling hardcovers have settled at an e-book price point of about $10, but if you think e-book vendors such as Amazon and Sony are making a profit, you would be wrong. That's because this product is sold cheep for the same reason that dope pushers sell the product cheap, at least to begin with: to get you hooked. And if that seems a harsh comparison to you, then you don't understand was even Harry Potter and Twilight readers knows: Good stories are dope. <-- LOL! The stories may be dope, but the rest is crack ;)

New KStew interview with MSN Mexico

MSN Mexico grabbed this interview with KStew at Comic Con:

Stewart arrived with a heroin chic look, probably because of the movie she’s filming ‘The Runaways’. She completely avoided any visual contact with the journalists interviewing her. I’ve been told that it’s because the actress is extremely shy and doesn’t like certain aspects of her job.

We still managed to talk to her about the dificulties of her character in this sequel and this is what she said: “In this movie the only way we can see Edward is through the very subjective point of view of Bella. It’s only through her memory that the character is present, so he doesn’t have to be there physically.

This movie is much more emotional than the first, I can promise you that. Anyone who’s read the books knows that the second book is much more intense than the first because unlike Twilight, New Moon is not about your first love.

In this movie, Bella presents herself as a manic depressive person and my challenge was asking myself ‘How Can I get this character to come out of that state she’s in? And how can I play a character who’s going through that process? It was very hard to portray a young woman who’s getting over the hard blows she gets from life and how she grows up after them.

I know that in my career I haven’t been involved in many projects that have generated so much expectation as Twilight and I just have to confess that I’m just another fan of the project. I get so excited to see how the movie is wrapping up, what the first trailers look like, etc.

I know that fans are worried that Edwward is not in this movie that much, but trust me, you’ll see him enough, and if the character Edward Cullen didn’t leave, then how were we going to miss him?” concludes the actress.

I heart how to the point Kristen can be - and I can not wait for New Moon as, not only is it my fave of the books but, I totally agree with Kristen's point - I love it exactly because Edward's absence makes you that much more aware of what you feel for him, so much so that it's painful... I'm such an emotional masochist ;) I love it!

Thanks Twilight Poison

P.s. Does anyone else want to see her looking super-crop-cute without the mullet already?! <--- Bad example but you get my point ;)

Caption This - New EW portrait from Comic Con

RPattz: Oh Kristen, I can never be with someone who doesn't have as schmexy hair as I do!

KStew: Lol, whatevs, Rob - no one can resist the way I rock this mullet - I'm a badass chick *nudge nudge* just what you need!

Ashlice: Srsly, you're looking over there - have you seen how good I look today?!

Taycob: What the hell?! Do people only heart me when my shirt's off? Why won't they see that I'm not just a beefcake *sigh*

Why do British Accents Sound So Good? Jamie Campbell Bower talks about Caius

MTV interviewed Jamie Campbell Bower at Comic-con, and Jamie is so much fun:
MTV: Tell us about your character in "New Moon."

Bower: I play Caius, who is the leader of the Volturi. They are a coven and effectively run the vampire community. They make the laws up. It's me, Michael Sheen who plays Aro, and a guy called Christopher Heyerdahl who plays Marcus. We try to kill Bella and convince Edward to come and live with us — because Peter's character [Carlisle Cullen] had come and lived with us before — and we love the Cullens deeply.

MTV: Director Chris Weitz is new to most of these guys, but so are you. What kind of discussions did you two newbies have before filming began?

Bower: He gave us a lot of freedom. We sat down prior to it and just bounced ideas around. The backstory for Caius is already there, as it is for the Volturi. It's all fairly self-explanatory. We sat down and I said, "I think he's got this deep-rooted anger. He doesn't have a power, and he's pretty pissed off about that, because the rest of them have powers." And then, once we got on set, he was just like, "Go for it." We'd do a couple of takes of the same thing, and then we'd change it up and I'd do something crazy.
Read the rest here.

P.S. We already think RobWard is hot. How much hotter would he be if he was speaking with his British accent? Yeah, yeah, I know Edward's from Chicago... (Lorabell, who is from the UK, probably thinks I'm on crack now)

Don't worry, TCA, I get it - I suddently become much more attractive in NYC than London! Plus, Irish accents have the same effect on me and they're all about the "craic"... get it?!

Top Ten New Moon Facts Revealed at Comic-Con

Here's are my two faves:

1. Summit Entertainment knows its audience, evidenced by the two scenes they brought to Comic-Con. Whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob, there was a shirtless scene for you. Who wanted to see the birthday party scene or the cliff diving scene, when they could get their first peek at Jacob Black hopping valiantly off a bike to strip naked to tend to an almost-drooling Bella? Or watch as Bella raced across Volterra in vain as Edward opened his shirt, stepping into the sunlight? It was such an amazing sight, Bella started running in slow motion. (Click above for more celeb pics from Comic-Con; full scene descriptions here!)

...
And...

4. Kristen Stewart knows that Bella is a head case in New Moon. Critics who thought Bella was unhealthily dependent on Edward in the first Twilight film, or even that his behavior was borderline stalker-ish, will likely seize on her obvious psychological issues in the sequel. When those criticisms come, Stewart's fully prepared. "This is a severely emotional movie," she told journalists. "That's the one big difference. This movie is not about discovery or falling in love, which is sort of just an intense emotion, but this is low and there high points for her, too. She's a manic depressive, basically."

F-Twilight Guys, Pattinson Pants Lady & Eating Sushi Next to the Cast at Nobu: Letter to Twilight Goes to Comic-Con

Letters to Twilight is hilarious, and I effing love Moon's Comic-con adventures. Read about their experience meeting the Pattinson Pants Lady and these two non-TwiDudes:
These were my favorite guys we saw in the lines. They took those crazy Team Edward/Team Jacob Burger King crowns flipped them inside out and wrote “F*ck Twilight” on them. WIN!

Testing Out that TayStew Chemistry

MTV interviewed TayStew about their chemistry:
"It's not tough when you're working with someone like this," Lautner insisted, moments after KStew responded to the chemistry question by leaning over and fake-kissing the hunky actor who packed on more than 30 pounds of muscle for the sequel. "[Stewart] is extremely talented."

"And it's such a different relationship," added Stewart, who couldn't possibly look any more anti-Bella these days as she finishes up work on her "Runaways" biopic about rocker Joan Jett, with short black hair and a Minor Threat T-shirt as her Comic-Con attire. "It's entirely original."

Earplugs, etc: Another SDCC Interview with TayStew

iesb.net has yet another cool interview with TayStew:

Q: So, how's your Comic-Con experience been?

Taylor: It's very similar to last year. It's just that we were expecting it, this time. Last year, we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. This time, we brought ear plugs.

Q: How does it feel to be working on such a popular film with such a huge fan base?

Kristen: It feels good. There's nothing bad. Trying to describe what it feels like is so funny. Everyone feels like we're nervous about the pressure and having approval, but this art form is so subjective, anyway. People say, "I love this book. I'm obsessed with it." And, we can say, "Well yeah, me too.' Everything is better, if you're on some sort of common ground. It's like fire. There's nothing better than sharing passion. This is so far out of our scope of what's going on in our head, when we're shooting a movie. It was strange having fans so close, but like Chris Weisz said, it's like doing theater when they stand up and clap after every take, and sit there very quietly organized, in little rows, and try not to disturb us while we're all in character. It's a little bit more pressure, but at the same time it was motivating.
