Twilight Cast Tweet Their Good Byes

And so it begins... The beginning of the end. Thank goodness for Breaking Dawn- Part 1 and 2 promos!--Ashes P.S.- Of course Billy Burke's tweet is my fav!

Soooo I went to see Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood preview...

Yay, two-sided poster - awesome!

Super thanks to Michelle who wrote in with spare tickets to an early preview of Catherine Hardwicke's new movie Red Riding Hood here in Vancouver.

I took @CupcakeGirl76 as my plus one and hoped Billy Burke might swing by... no such luck!

So, the movie... I admit I was very excited by the trailer - it reminded me of how I felt seeing the original Twilight trailer - excited and fascinated with a touch of schmexy and mystery.

The film its-self looks beautiful: it has incredible mountainous panoramas; wooded fairy-tale villages; and the lighting goes from firey glows to icey stark...

Amanda "there's a 30% chance it's already raining" Seyfried is gorgeous and does a solid job with the script opposite Julie Christie (respect), Gary Oldman (I salute you, sir) Billy Burke (better with 'stache) and Max Irons (yeah, I would).

Now, Shiloh "almost Edward Cullen" Fernandez brings a good chemistry to the table and works hard at the role, even pulling off convincing schmexy time moments but... geez that boy's just

not pretty enough - just me?! He does that whole "I'm dangerous, you want me" thing well but I kept mentally thanking Kristen for not going there...

Plot wise, I don't want to give anything away but I will say the story honestly keeps you guessing - it's intriguing but... lacking, almost in that "New Moon Alice flash forward" kind of way - it could have been awesome - but only 20% as ridoncs.

Conclusion, I think it's definitely worth a watch - if only for the score which is quite a few kinds of tribal drum, deep voice, schmexy awesome - but Twilight it is not... sorry, Catherine x

Billy Burke Rocks VH1 Save The Music Gala

Actor and musician Billy Burke rocked the red carpet at VH1's Save The Music event in NYC with lovely lady Pollyanna Rose:

On Monday, November 8th, The VH1 Save The Music Foundation will mark thirteen years of restoring instrumental music education programs in America’s public schools with a Gala celebration at Cipriani Wall Street.

Presented by LG Mobile Phones, the event will serve as a celebration of music and honor living legend, Julie Andrews along with music superstar and arts advocate John Legend, seven-time Grammy Award winner John Mayer, and The ASCAP Foundation, represented by songwriting legend and Foundation President, Paul Williams.

Additionally, Natasha Bedingfield, a member of the VH1 Save the Music Alumni Ambassador Group, is scheduled to perform and the program for the evening, presented by LG Mobile Phones, will celebrate music as a universal language that shapes our life stories and include a special tribute to the 45th Anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music by Kristin Chenoweth.

The festivities will be hosted by Broadway veteran and 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson. Pete Wentz, Lauren Conrad, Jason Mraz, Common, Billy Burke and Mayor Michael Bloomberg will also be on hand for this incredible evening as presenters.

Billy Burke, BooBoo Stewart & Bronson Pelletier Support Food Drive

Amidst all this Breaking Dawn excitement, it's important not to forget ways Twilighters give back... other than providing hours of entertainment for us ;)

As it turns out, Billy, BooBoo and Bronson (is it necessary to have a B name for this?) are supporting the Saturday Night Foodie's "Drive Out Hunger" event:

Saturday Night Foodies, a popular food and restaurant review blog, in conjunction with 19 gourmet food trucks and other leading food bloggers, will host a special food truck event Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., in the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater parking lot (8808 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA).

The tailgating-type event is designed to add momentum to the ongoing two week mobile food drive taking place through Nov. 20, for Drive Out Hunger, the county’s first mobile food drive, benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank.

The special Drive Out Hunger event will leverage OC DinDin-A-GoGo, a weekly gourmet food truck event managed by the Tropical Shave Ice Truck, that usually rotates eight different gourmet food trucks each week, but this time will have 19 trucks in its lineup. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding tables, chairs and blankets.

Celebrities helping to bring awareness to the hunger crisis in Orange County will be on hand to take pictures and sign autographs for a donation of 10 non-perishable canned or dry good items, per person. There will also be a silent auction, and participants will have the opportunity to bid on Lakers and Lady Gaga tickets, vacations, and autographed art, to name just a few. Event admission and parking are free.
