UK Runaways Movie Screening Event :)

*BOUNCE* In lieu of a premiere...

Celebrating the UK release of The Runaways, E1 Entertainment are supporting a special fan led screening of the movie.

Floria Sigismondi’s critically acclaimed biopic - starring Twilight’s Kristen Stewart as legendary, Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as front-woman, Cherie Currie – shows the rise and fall of the first ever all-girl rock band.

Taking place on Friday September 10th 2011, in London (location to be confirmed) will host the event for 150 lucky fans.

In honour of the band's era, prizes will be awarded for 1970's costume – other branded donations to be confirmed. Official and signed merchandise as well as customized Runaways Chucks from Canvas Warrior will be raffled off with all proceeds donated to UK charity for runaways, Missing People.

Word is that The Runaways will be screening at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which runs June 16-27th!

Mark your calendars for July 20, 2010 because we can exclusively reveal that's the date "The Runways" will say "Hello, world" on DVD and Blu-Ray! Both formats of the movie will include commentary with Joan Jett, Kristen and Dakota, and two featurettes ("Plugged In: Making the Film" and "The Runaways").
