Yesterday Alex Meraz tweeted "The one thing that kept the entire wolfpack alive on set...thank god they had it in the budget!"

I was leaving the hotel of my friend, walking on the street, I looked into a restaurant and bang I saw Alex. After I saw Kiowa and Bronson. So I waited in front of the restaurant, I sent a text to my friend to join me there. We waited 45 minutes, after Alex went outside the restaurant and he came to us, asking us if we were waiting there for them, we said yes. He asked us if we want to take pictures, we say Yes lol. He invited you to enter into the restaurant with him and wait for the other guys because that was cold outside. We talked with him, he was so friendly, he gave us hugs. Bronson arrived, presented himself, ask for our name, he was so friendly too and then Kiowa arrived and we took some pcitures. And I'm a french Canadian and I told them that I was. When we thanked them for the photo, Alex gave us another hug, and Bronson said : Aurevoir, Merci Beaucoup. (It's Goodbye, thank you so much in french).
That was amazing, I'm in Vancouver to see the Twilight Cast so that's awesome !

Roughly 48 hours ago the Sugar website was trying to raise extra funds for the film (the figure mentioned was roughly $50,000) by promoting private lunches with Alex and other Alex connected items, as well as other things non-Alex related. No word of why the sudden, dramatic turn of events.
According to Alex Meraz, a 25-year-old who appears in the upcoming third installment of the blockbuster Twilight series, the actors who play the so-called “Wolf Pack”—a group of American Indian shape-shifters—became as close as their characters almost as soon as they arrived on set.
“We really rely on each other for support,” he said. “It feels like family.” His co-stars Tinsel Korey, 30, Chaske Spencer, 35, and Julia Jones, 29, agreed: “I felt, kind of instantly, like we had so much in common,” Jones said. Being in an intensely-hyped Twilight flick, she explained, “is a really specific kind of experience. We all feel we’re in the same boat.”

In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.
Each member of the wolf pack is of Native decent. Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Gordon is Hualapai, and Houseman, who was discovered at an open casting call, is Cree. Casting of the wolf pack was overseen by award-winning casting director Rene Haynes who is well-known for her work on Native projects ranging from DANCES WITH WOLVES to BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE.

Also attached – Taylor Lautner and his flawless skin (how is skin like this possible???) enjoyed a beautiful sunny break in the day. Vancouver is spectacular when it’s not raining. Just… it rains a LOT. Anyway, Taylor and Kristen were running lines all weekend, prepping to begin shooting in earnest this week. Robert Pattinson was running lines on Sunday too for a few hours. He has however for the most part shut himself in when not working out, apparently hasn’t ventured out much, prefers to be alone, politely declines invitations to go out, either getting into character or perhaps frightened by the loser twi-hards who’ve descended upon Vancouver to hunt him down? Twilight is boosting tourism!
