Speed post:
The nominees for the 2010 American Music Awards have just been announced, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is up for "Best Soundtrack"!

Eclipse faces off with Glee: The Music, Volume 3 The Showstoppers and Iron Man 2.

You can vote for the Eclipse album to win here!

Eclipse soundtrack contributors Muse and Vampire Weekend are also nominated for "Favorite Alternative Rock Artist." Muse contributed the song "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" to the Eclipse album, while Vampire Weekend added "Jonathan Low" to the soundtrack.

Last year, Twilight's soundtrack won
"Favorite Album" in the 2009 American Music Awards, so be sure to vote for Eclipse so the album can win this year as well!

Per the AMAs' press release, "The live broadcast will take place at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21st (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC."

The Shortest Preview EVER - Muse on Eclipse Soundtrack!

Um... K?

So today Stephenie's site announced:
The first single on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" has just been confirmed and I get to bring you the exclusive details. Stephenie's very favorite band, Muse, has contributed a song called "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" and it's the first single from the project. It will be out on May 17th. I haven't heard it yet, but I am very excited. The official soundtrack will also be available on June 8th. You can pre-order the Eclipse soundtrack here.
LOVE Muse! Would love to hear more too... *chagrin*

Muse to be on Eclipse Soundtrack!

Speed post:

"TA has a reporter who has been covering events down at the SXSW (South By Southwest) Festival in Austin, Texas all week. Well today that reporter happened to find themselves in conversation with informed sources from Chop Shop/Atlantic Records. The source has confirmed that Muse will indeed be on the Eclipse soundtrack."

Eclipse composer confirmed...

Howard Shore is on board to compose the original score for the third film in the Twilight series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Temple Hill Entertainment today confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that the Lord of the Rings composer is going to write the music for the film, following in the footsteps of Carter Burwell (who scored the first film in 2008) and Alexandre Desplat (who wrote the music for the second, New Moon). Shore has begun work, spotting the movie, this week.

Until then, if anyone's making a fan trailer, may I suggest the following soundtrack awesomeness:
