Fashion: Delicious Fashion from Chocolate Clothing

Chocolate Clothing Company, the popular one-stop-boutique, has opened up a whole, updated closet full of mouth watering labels from major fashion centers worldwide, and given itself a fresh new look--a modern take on a "romantic boudoir" that is as inviting as any woman's dream closet.



The woman behind Chocolate's makeover is the very stylish and entrepreneurial Finina Tugade, who has happily taken over the reins of the brand from it's founder, the talented Ana Amigo, and is paving the way for Chocolate to re-establish itself as a mini mecca for everything gorgeous and fashionable, with up-to-the-moment labels that are not yet found in the mainstream market for fashionistas with very discerning tastes.

The new Chocolate Clothing Company has gone through careful editing (out with the old and in with the new!) and come up with a strong roster of labels that will appeal to every Chocolate lover. It's still the season of love bugs and is the perfect time to wear romantic pieces inspired by lace! Fashion runways dictate how lace and other "subtle cut-outs" and "see-throughs" reign 2011. Who wants to get FIRED? Revlon Fire & Ice Relaunched after 60 years!

I don't mean being sacked from work silly! But Revlon is firing up the season with a lot of reds. I think most ladies need the extra fire to heat up a toxic lifestyle.

Actually I already got a Red nail polish with the vintage Revlon logo. In 1952, Revlon launched Fire & Ice, Revlon solidified its place as the beauty authority of that time.

The iconic advertisement, including the provocative questionnaire asking women “Are You Made for Fire & Ice?” was hard to forget, and almost 60 years later still one of the most recognizable advertisements in Revlon’s rich history. Victoria Casal Couture has just opened its first flagship boutique in Forbestown Centre, Bonifacio Global City. The continuing success of the French prêt-à-porter label is definitely set to cause Parisian fashion frenzy in Manila as the fashion house is already receiving rave reviews for its Hello Kitty inspired line.



Hello Kitty trolley for Kids (and adults?)!

The “Hello Kitty by Victoria Casal Couture” line, already a big hit in Europe, is the designer’s luxurious, high-end take on Sanrio’s iconic cat image, which has proven over the last few years to be a unique approach towards Hello Kitty clothing designs.



The opening of the new boutique coincides with the launch of seasons 2011 collection, which portrays the joyful story of a Parisian fantasy, allowing Hello Kitty lovers so much flexibility and creativity in terms of designs and the various ways of combining them.

I wish their collection would include the women's range too!

Seriously, this is from Penshoppe's Pre-Summer campaign. Whoever styled these models is a genius. If you look closely, the items used simple fabrics and cuts yet when combined, they look dramatically fashionable.

And finally, someone got what men should wear in warm weathers. His pants are the IT pants for men this 2011. That's my fearless forecast. My mom even pointed it out to me, how local celebs wore "prince charming pants" complete with boots. Loafers would do. Boots are for winter.

I've been a hermit at home and it's just hard to resist the SALE. It feels like everyday, there is a sale but it's not that often Ayala Malls hold one.

Marquee Mall is the one in Clark, Pampanga - which reminds me, it's almost Hot Air Balloon season and I haven't prepared nor booked any hotels. Santa, can you do this for me?

First off is Penshoppe with the Great Penshoppe Sale. From January 3 to 15, 2011. Tis' the perfect time to get a good fitting pair of jeans from their boutiques.



Next are the shops from Elite Garments: Freeway, Solo, and Ensembles. Though their sale started December 2010, they are still running on red tags.

Now work hard my dear minions and earn your shopping money! :)

Fashion: Dressing Up for New Year 2011

Just 3 more days to go and 2010 will be two thousand and late. It's just recently I learned the value of being "dressed for the occasion". I've taken this to heart not just for fancy pictures but for the fun of it.



Are you wearing red for luck?

I told everyone they should wear red if they are attending my New Year's Eve party, that's after me and my sister took a look around for blaring red dresses and blouses in a mall.

Surprisingly, we ended up at Kashieca- for some reasons they have lots of red items on display. I got three items, one for my sister and another for my mom. They even had a polka dot red dress (I got that too!).

Parties are all over town and it's a good excuse to invest (yet again) in a dress or two. I am especially haunted by this frilly dress from Penshoppe.



I would wear it with an oversized cardigan and my thigh high boots. Wondering if it would make me look fat though?

Not a big fan of perfumes but this store makes me want to become one.



Art of Scent is the first luxury concept fragrance store in the Philippines. The store was created with the goal of uplifting the fragrance consumer’s overall shopping experience by having well-trained Fragrance Connoisseurs in-store instead of just sales agents.

The concept behind the store is to instill in the consumer a deeper appreciation of the nuances in choosing the right fragrance that suits them best.



Art of Scent takes its inspiration from the industry-standard fragrance wheel composed of 4 major sections: fresh, woody, floral, oriental. As such, the store itself has 4 sections displaying fragrance brands based on which fragrance family it belongs to. The brands and references in these 4 sections will be rotated on a monthly basis in order to refresh the fragrance consumer’s visual and olfactory palettes.



Along with this, the store also has a main section for the top 10 selling men’s and top 10 selling women’s fragrance references based on national sales. This section serves as the store’s anchor, so called because this section will be a permanent fixture of the store.

The Art of Scent flagship store is located in the ground floor of Resorts World in Newport City, Philippines.

Step in Ordinary, Step Out Stylish

This is the result of my consultation with a Penshoppe Stylist during The Style Closet at the Eastwood Cybermall. Stylists share some tips about what to wear with the customers’ body type, make up colors for a skin type and accessories to pair with several outfits.

This was my gray sad monochromatic outfit before stepping in. Don't you wish you have a stylist everyday? That would take loads off of my shoulder!
